skidpro said:Too late! I downloaded to The Witcher 2 dir and it created a folder called downloads and put all the 10GB bin files in there, now is that going to be a problem?
When I get to the 17th and start the update will it not install to correct directory now as I put the pre download files in folder called downloads in the Witcher 2 dir? it appeared to make sense at the time to keep the files in the same place?
Do I delete the folder and its contents a redownload it all again to a completely separate folder? I dont see what the problem is where I downloaded it?
let me know Thanks
You dont copy it to the Witcher 2 folder, but run the patch exe like a normal patch, and it should install. It shouldnt matter where the patch is located.Akiyoshi said:Thank very much Nisse, so it will work just fine, if I copy it directly to my Witcher 2 folder I guess.

If you do not understand this, you need to read it again until you do, and not attempt to interpret it in a way that says "you may change..." instead of "do not change..."Do not change the directory of the downloaded files until you update your game.

The downloader messes with the Registry, to remember where it is located and where it downloaded the patch files. If you move the downloader or any of its files, you will screw it up, the patch will fail to install, and the old-timers will say "we told you so".
I am confused again, first I am told NOT to download the files to the witcher 2 directory which I did, so I deleted those files and am redownloading to a new location of C:/downloadsTW2EE
Now how is this going to affect me as 1person says this, another says something else and I dont want to bugger it up but now I am thinking that it is BUT I am downloading the patch files to a new location instead of the The Witcher 2 directory as people said DONT download to the The Witcher 2 directory....(which I did at first)
So I deleted those files from the witcher 2 directory and am redownloading location c:/downloadsTW2EE as I said above? Is everything going to be ok?
Thanks a very worried person![]()

RyQril said:ok this might be a dumb question, does the enhanced edition got the previous patches? so i dont need to update the game to 2.1 then the enhanced?
SkelterMelter said:How many files are in the patch? I'm currently downloading 34th .bin- file and have been downloading for almost a day now.

I dont think this EE contains both patches, it only contains additional 10 GB of data( 35 min of scene material and many other bug improvement) In my opinion as in W 1 EE, also in the witcher 2 EE will add many interesting futures like : new intro and outro, new models scenes etc.
