The Witcher 2: Assassins Of Kings XBox 360 port

Posted by AhmadDajani

The hotly anticipated Xbox 360 port of the excellent PC RPG "The Witcher 2" will offer many new tweaks and over four hours of extra gameplay. New details come from the latest issue of Gameinformer that the Xbox 360 version of the Witcher 2 will be titled “Witcher 2: Assassins of Kings-ENHANCED EDITION” as the developers of the game (CD Projekt RED) have made numerous tweaks and fixes to the original game, further optimizing the controls for the console and adding over four hours of new content.

The game was expected to be released in the first quarter of 2012, but the game has been pushed back to the second quarter of this year.

There be a new edition of this game? or is just the Witcher 2 2.0 ?

and if there be a new releases, the updates of the enhaced edition will be released as a patch for the users who have the regular edition (i mean the firsts released, premium edition, collector edition, normal edition)

Enhanced Edition will be version 2.0 plus new content, tweaks, fixes. We don't know how it's going to be delivered to PC users that bought the PC version.

A CDP press conference that will talk about the Xbox release of Witcher 2: AOKEE is scheduled for January 26th (in a very cool place btw: http://www.kopernik.org.pl/en/).

Everything will be cleared then, also, the release date will be revealed.

I can't find where Gameinformer says so.
Do I need to have an account at Gameinformer to see this new?

Game Informer mentions it in their latest issue, not on the website.

Haven't they told us that any improvements and extra content for Xbox 360 would be coming to PC as well without extra charges?

Yes they did. I might have expressed myself wrong here, what I meant was that it's still not said if we will get the extra content before the Xbox release (which I think they promised) or with the Xbox release. So not HOW but WHEN :)

This is correct. The updates that the xbox 360 version get will also get on the PC. The question is when... Microsoft likes to make deals to give them a "upper hand" so maybe we might have to wait up to 4 weeks. But it will be free.

I'm 100% sure we will get everything the xbox version will get, they mentioned this numerous times, Microsoft has nothing to do with this. It's not like CDP is owned by MS, to force them deliver exclusive content if they don't want to.

No wonder the game will suffer major tweaks over the control part on the console since it's a burden playing the game with a gamepad, unlike with M+K, though some "experts" stated that it was "meant to be played with a gamepad", yeah right... then why would they need almost one year to port the game, if it was already a "console port", geniuses ?

Just because some old fashioned gamers that cannot play a game with M+K, and played the first just using the mouse, because it's "too difficult with M+K" and complain it's consolized and dumbed down, doesn't mean it is.You cannot blame the consoles just because you cannot play a game with M+K and you aren't willing to adapt or at least try to.

Hi guys I was wondering when will we see any trailers for upcoming 360 and PC EE release? Game was design to be released in Q1 and no word of any trailer, videos or major news are coming out yet. Which is sad, I think thats the best time to start posting some clips out there since there are no big games coming out soon and everyone is just waiting.

cheers guys and good luck!
