the witcher 2 dont start

hi all, i just bought a copy of the witcher 2 (the big pack, if needs) for pc, and i install the game normally. BUT when i start the launcher.exe and put the key, it says me to download the enhanced edition patch. Due to my bad connection i cant download 9 gb directly so i pass this step and try to launch the game. It starts normally, after the inital logos a screen with the text "The witcher 2 assassins of king: enhanced edition" appears without menu or else, just the that text. I press "enter" and it appears a black screen with some bars (i think was the Hp and Mp) on the left , an arrow on the high right and anything else. I try to launch the game in 640x800, in windowed mode, as adimn but just the same result. It would be very frustrating if i need to download the 9 gb directly to run the game, i cant keep active the pc for 10 hours (cause my max connection speed is 290 kbp) and the download is not recoverable at all. Hope can you help me.

Intel I7 2.00 Ghz
Nvidia Ge force gtx 560m - 1.5 gb dedicated memory
8 gb RAM
Directx 11

What does the cover on your box say ? Enhanced Edition , 2.0 .

Reinstall the game but do not use the launcher . Instead go to your install directory and open the Witcher 2 folder and then open the bin folder , there you should see the witcher2exe . Hover your mouse over it and in the dialog box that appears there should be a version number . What is your version number ? Once you have that info wrote down then right click the witcher2exe and select send to desktop and try running the game from the new shortcut .

I cannot offer further advice until i can see what version of the game you are on .

hey on my box it says only "The Witcher 2: Assassins of Kings". However i found i can not play the game until i download the 10gb patch. On this ponit how can i download the entire patch ? I already said it takes to long to download it. Is there a way like torrents so can i continue the download day by day ? thanks

No , no torrents are necessary . I see 3 options that would be available

This link http://www.gog.com/witcher/backup will let you claim the Witcher 2 backup copy with the EE lready patched in and by using the GOG downloader you can pause and start the game download whenever you wish .

This link http://en.thewitcher.com/ee_manual/ will let you download the EE patch only (you need all 36 parts) and you will need the language pack of your choice
