I know this is a very old thread, but it needs to be bumped. What happened to the Xbox 360 patch, CDPR promised to provide support for the Xbox 360 version but they never have. Now it looks like they've broken their promise and have completed abandoned the Xbox 360 version to develop TW3.

Their are still several glitches in the Xbox 360 version that have nor been fixed, nor have the benefits of the 3.2 PC patch been delivered to us Xbox 360 users.

This break of trust by CDPR has left a very bad taste in my mouth, and makes me much much more reluctant to purchase any more of their products in the future, for either Xbox 360 nor PC, since they have failed to deliver on their promise to provide further Xbox 360 post-release support for TW2.

WOW!! I played both paths (on Normal) and found the game very, very payable and enjoyable, why all the bitching?!
I want the devs to spend all their time on TW3 (unless a major bug is discovered in TW2)

Just saying. />

Just because your playthrough was not buggy or glitchy does not mean it is the same for everyone else. While I have not played TW2 on the 360, I can certainly relate with Skyrim. My 360 copy of Skyrim was so buggy that it got to the point that if I needed to load for any reason (enter a new area) the game would freeze. Got fed up with it and just opted to get it on the PC instead. Other people may not be so lucky as to have game-capable PC's and need to rely on patches for their consoles to make their games an enjoyable experience.

As far as I know, CDPR never promised anything, not even about Patch 3.2. They promised and delivered the EE edition of the game to you, nothing more nothing less. Also, patching is very expensive on the xbox, mostly due to Microsofts exorbitant fees. Some estimate around 5 figure dollars (40,000 to 50,000). Please don't make sensational statements like that when there weren't any explicit promises.

The only glitch I encountered in x360 is sometimes I can't reach my loot, seems it's been blocked by the environment.Speaking of patches, I just hope TW3 will have a robust system in general.

Interesting that Microsoft is playing the "Troll under the bridge" for charging Game Developers for providing patches!

I hope that with the new game consoles, the Game Publishers would push back and to make sure that the new consoles allow games internet access to game developers sites to update, so this way, patches and other game content does not stay on game console seller servers (Microsoft/Sony). This way, there would be no cost to Microsoft/Sony to provide DLC or patch disk space on their servers.

Is that something that the Game development community is pushing for?

Also, is Sony a Troll also? It would be great if one of the companies (MS or Sony) would agree to something like that, this would make patching just about free and can be done as often as needed. By having at least one company to agree to this, that would make a great selling point for that console, especially now that Sony has decided to go the PC hardware/Software route for their new console!

Please do at least a little bit of research before you speak. According to this Joystiq article: http://www.joystiq.c...re-coming-post/ "CD Projekt Red plans to support The Witcher 2 on Xbox 360 post-launch, updating the game based on player feedback and even offering new content on top of the new stuff on-disc." Maciej Szczesnik stated that "We wanted the game to be richer and have all of the content from PC, and even more content." and Marek Ziemak said "We're not going to stop our support of the game after launch, We're launching the Xbox 360 version, but we'll continue to work on both titles parallel, creating some extra stuff and trying to give some extra stuff to players. We never fire and forget; it's against our philosophy."

I don't know about you, but those are very explicit promises. CDProjekt promised to support the Xbox 360 version of TW2 EE post launch, knowing full well the costs to do so, and have so far broken their promise and completely ignored the Xbox 360 version of the game. If they aren't providing post-launch support for the Xbox 360 version, then they shouldn't have lied and said they would.

Now that its free to patch on Xbox 360: http://www.eurogamer.net/articles/2013-06-26-microsoft-no-longer-charges-developers-to-patch-their-xbox-360-games there's literally no reason why the patch couldn't come to the Xbox 360 now besides CDPR's laziness.

Eh patch 3.1, 3.2 and 3.3 mostly contained insignificant changes, 3.2 was mostly about the UI which is different on consoles versus PC.

Now one thing is for them to patch the bugs of Xbox version but why would the implement 3.2 for the Xbox?

The 3.2 patch only added a mod to the official game build. It wasn't made by CDPR. Porting that to Xbox would take resources and work effort. Not worth it.

They probably reasoned that it'd be more important to continue work on The Witcher 3, rather than go back and fix bugs on an "old" game on an "old" console. They probably only have the resources to focus on the new stuff up ahead. They've got a lot riding on TW3, I would imagine.

You could argue that they may fall out of favor with the Xbox 360 crowd, but since TW3 won't be available on it and it seems pretty random is people will prefer a PS4, Xbox One or PC in the next generation, there's not much incentive to please that crowd this long after launch. It's just not cost-effective. And it sucks, I agree!

Edit: Now that I read the article, it clearly states that they only dropped the fee for Xbox 360 Arcade games. Not owning an Xbox, I don't know what that is. Their online store for small downloadable titles?
