The Witcher 2 (Enhanced Edition): reviews

"The Witcher 2 continues to be a colossal creative and technical achievement and the superb 360 version only confirms the excellence CD Projekt's craft. Console users get a fantastic version of a fantastic game, while the PC users get a great patch that improves and enhances the experience of the original, a perfect excuse to return as The White Wolf and to live his adventure from a new perspective."
96/100

Nice. Although I'm sure few websites will give TW2:EE low score just to get some attention. But I'm positive this game will get some really high scores in the end from all the major players. crossing fingers for good sales in first few weeks.

OXM reviewer played the Iorverth path. I really think reviewers should play both paths(if they liked it) before writing their review.

I agree, they really compliment each other.

& IMO the game really shines on 3rd play-through, once you know the entire story. But reviewers cannot be expected to pour that much time into one game, sadly :[

That's why there should be specialized RPG reviewers, that can appreciate details and that are capable of judging writing, narration, story progression, character customization and so on, as opposed to the traditional gameplay/controls/graphics. "Minor" sites like GameBanshee will always be superior in that aspect. As you said, big reviewers don't have time.

I'm so excited for this game that a score of 0 wouldn't stop me from buying it..... okay maybe it would, but you get my point :)

Let's hope there isn't a group of people planning to assault the game with terrible scores on launch day like what happened with MW3 and ME3

Come to think of it, it should be safe being as it doesn't have an "m" or a "3" in the title.

It's not published by EA/Activision so I doubt it. The scorebombing is mainly about those companies' unsavory business practices, and CDPR are as ethical as it gets in this industry.

I recall numerous allegations that Bio/EA staffers and their faithful claque of Bio Drones were were writing negative reviews of TW2 on Metacritic, the usual crap about tits and ass in TW2, which is really rich after the massive amount of virtual silicone in Bio games lately, but I don't recall if any were actually factually substantiated.

It may not be true, but it sounds pretty consistent with the sullen and resentful tone Bio/EA has adopted since the DA2 debacle. It certainly doesn't exactly foster good will either.

Anyway, kudos to CPDR for the good reviews!

Hoping CDPR get's amazing reviews, and even more amazing sell numbers, I know that the original PC version selled just over 1 million copies, while it was pirated on torrents more then 5 millions times, which is a really shameful thing for the PC community, I'm surprised they're still so kind to us, PC gamers, still supporting the game, releasing patches and even going as far as giving us for free the enhanced edition which packs more content then 99% commercial DLCs, just an unpresedented level of kidness and dignity you just won't meet in ANY other company on the market, so let's hope at least the x360 community will give them the sales they deserve...

Stop this idiotic nonsense, jeez. 1.1 million copies on PC alone is a great result (not to mention they will sell another million this year), Dark Souls sold 1.3 million across both PS3 and X360, for example.
