I was going to buy the retail version at first too but in the end, all the extra stuff that comes with that version just end up gathering dust on my bookshelf.. So gog.com deal was best for me.xwlr said:Sounds good, but I would want a box as well. If boxed physical version will have DRM though I'll rather buy it on this GoG.com.xwlr said:Yes. You download the content to your hard drive from their website. And when you create the account you can always re-download the game if you have to for example format your PC.xwlr said:Is GoG.com like you can only download the game and you don't get a physical copy?
That's what they said. The standard edition of the game comes with so much more stuff than your average game that they're calling the standard edition "premium." And they're right; they are giving a hell of a lot with the basic edition, so in that sense, the name is justified. But "Premium" implies a lower edition, and there isn't one; all editions come with 1. Game DVD2. Making of video3. Soundtrack CD4. Game Manual5. Game Guide6. Map7. Pamphlet8. 2 Papercraft charactersIf you buy the boxed version, you also get the box (obviouslyxwlr said:Did I understand CD Projekt RED corretly that there will be no "lower" version then the premium edition? So there won't be a release (on may17 at least) wich only includes the game DVD and an install guide, so all editions will have soundtrack and makingof right?
CDPR is against DRM, but they aren't in control of what the publishers decide, so the DRM of the boxed versions is still not certain. BUT there is a way to get the game completely DRM-free: Order from GOG.com.TW2 will be available from GOG.com on release day, completely without DRM, with extra content not present in other digital versions, and for !0% off. Can't beat that with a stick!Orochi82 said:So, I read they were to discuss the DRM topic on the conference.Have they came to any conclusions ??
*smile* You're welcome.Orochi82 said:This is the best news I heard. Thanks ma'am.
I don't know. I've only tried to buy from gog while in my own country, so I don't know if any countries block them. I do know that gog is advertising prices for the US, the UK, and the European Union, so they do sell to lots of countries. I suggest that you go to gog.com and check it out.Can I buy games from gog.com, from any countries, right ??
Yes. CDPR doesn't just have fans; they have fanatically loyal fans. And they deserve them.slimgrin said:Good lord, CD Red is simply the most generous company out there. I retract all negative vitriol and applaud their active stance against drm, as well as their inclusion of bonus material with their games. They go the extra mile when other companies are busy thinking of ways to rip off paying customers.
Klaw 2 was nice enough to post the conference on YouTube. It's in four parts; Parts 1 & 4 are in Polish, and Parts 2 & 3 are in English. Here's Part 2.Now if I can only find a working link to that conference...
They haven't really said, but that's my guess, too.eskiMoe said:I guess as many people as possible should buy the game from gog.com right? All the money goes to CD Projekt that way, or so I've concluded. One of the reasons I preordered from there..![]()
