I love everything about the Witcher 2 presentation except for one of the most important factors of an RPG. Facial animations still look horrible. No emotion is presented in the characters actions themselves. Thats a very disappointing thing to say about one of my most anticipated games of this year.

They've stated that facial animations are not in the finished stage, they are still working on it. Right now they do look pretty lifeless. We'll have to wait and see how they improve things.

I really hope that they pay attention to this. This is where other RPG's in this genre are already perfecting the animation tech. LA NOIRE, SKYRIM and others have already stated that the characters faces are crucial to pulling the emotions out of the storylines. Half Life 2 is a great example. Im so disappointed in what I see that I really hope they take those stale animations out.

Actually the game WILL BE downloadable from GOG.com (with a lot of additional nicie goodies) or from Steam. This should make you happy, ain't it? :D

la noire uses face mapping technology. skyrim won't come close.witcher 2's facial animations are already much better than half life 2's.

LA Noire just needs to have solid gameplay. All the face mapping tech in the world isn't going to make it a good game. If TW2 doesn't have great facial animations, I won't be too disappointed, to be honest. It's the gameplay and writing that matter most.

The facial animations are done. MM360 said so in Polish version of "Ask dev...". It won't get any better than what you could see in the lastest presentation. It's not very impresive to be honest, but it's not terrible either. EDIT:I'm quite lost on international forum. Too many threads, so I hope you can forgive me if i post this in a wrong place.http://polygamia.pl/Polygamia/10,95387,9458805,Zagralismy_w_Wiedzmina_2__Oto_nasze_wrazenia.htmlLink with polish audio, so you can mute it. :]Few new scences, Geralt (3:02) take-down an enemy in fist fight and keep fighting on the ground - sweet. :]
