The majority of the current Bioware fans are a bunch of selfish and arrogant idiots, who argue about everything. You only have to look in the BSN.
In their eyes everything from combat to Geralt is bad and people who play the two games are sexist.

Load of balls, Dragon Age fans aren't looking for the things that CDPR offers, they want adolescent feel good romances, lots of retarded gigglesquee cutesy dialogue, illogical plots that would insult the reasoning ability of a foetus, blatant power fantasies and everything dumbed for consumption by the lowest common denominator (such as the upper right, middle right and lower right speech options.) There is a gulf as wide as the Atlantic between the two companies, and therefore no reason to be fearing competition.

Shit journalism, should be ashamed of themselves.

Exactly right and Witcher games don't offer the opportunity to LARP as a female insert and there's no gay romances for Geralt. I've seen some BW fans say they refuse to play RPGs without either.

Hm, if you like Fable, you should try Kingdoms of Amalur. It is a pretty solid game. Unfortunately the idiots of EA have fired the developers, because the sales weren't high enough.

The last part of your post is completely false, because:
A)There are some people of BSN who are present here.
B)There are a lot of people in BSN who played and enjoyed CDPR's games. You just have to read the occasional topic the compare BW to CDPR, and DA to TW.
There are people that act as you said, but they're not as much as you said.

Can you give us a link to the most recent discussion of this? I need a good laugh.

I don't agree with their point of view (from what I've read about her, I'd have no problem playing as Ciri in an hypothetical future Witcher game), but I don't have a problem with that. People have different approachs to RPGs.

I don't find this topics that entertaining. The ones about mages and templars are far more amusing, in my opinion.

Look e.g. for the closed "What Can Dragon Age Learn From The Witcher?" thread in the DA3 forum. There was a reason, why it was closed.

Yeah, I've been scrolling through that one a bit but I eventually got bored with some of the typical fanboyish posters.

Damn I hope CDPR don't listen to the constant call of those moronic bastards spouting shit about how they should dumb down and spoon feed the setting and narrative to the player, makes you wonder why they play RPG's when they've got no imagination or reasoning ability whatsoever.

CD Projekt RED better not dumb down, spoon feed, and hold hands for The Witcher 3: Wild Hunt. This is what pissed me off in The Elder Scrolls V: Skyrim especially the regenerative health crap. But this is CD Projekt RED so I have faith in them.

The whole production of Amalur was a mess. They weren't "fired by EA". They had massive debts which forced them to declare bankruptcy.

38 Studios: Curt Schilling's Crony Capitalism Debacle
The 2012 bankruptcy of Rhode Island-based video-game developer 38 Studios isn't just a sad tale of a start-up tech company falling victim to the vagaries of a rough economy. It is a completely predictable story of crony capitalism, featuring star-struck legislators and the hubris of a larger-than-life athlete completely unprepared to compete in business.

I enjoyed some Bioware titles. DAO & ME series. Not so much the ending of the last installment, but I guess im not the sole one. It wasn't the character death which was uncool, but more the small variety in the actual endings. DA2 had a cool setting, but was recycling done in a bad way. And normally recycling is a good thing.

Still of the recent games, TW2 has been better than any of the new Bethesda and BW stuff.

imho, amalur was terrible. I tried very hard to like it, started the demo like 3 times, but I found it so amazingly ugly and the controls clumsy, I just couldn't.

As for the all out Bioware bashing, I actually liked most games they made up to ME1, and some later ones too (DA1, ME2 somewhat, ME3 kind of minus the endings which need not be discussed).

There's room for an excellent TW3 and and excellent DA3. (Not saying that DA3 WILL be excellent, you understand, just saying that there's room for it. ) There are not that many AAA role-playing games being made, and my wish is not that TW3 will blow DA3 out of the water but that both games will be wonderful.

I loved DA:O (not as much as TW1, but I still loved it) and hated DA2. I'm keeping an open mind about DA3; we'll see what it looks like when it gets here.

Jeff Vogel, who makes good indie RPG's, said that his sales go UP every time a major RPG is released, because the hype over a major RPG convinces some gamers to try a genre they've never tried before, and some of them decide that they like it. So if DA3 should turn out to be a good game, that would only be good for CDPR, because it would bring in some new RPG players. And when new RPG players look around to see what other great RPG's are out there, once they've been converted to the genre, someone will tell them about the Witcher games. ;)

Bashing other games doesn't prove the superiority of the Witcher games; it merely makes Witcher fans look small. The Witcher games can stand up to any competition; we don't have to tear down the fans of other games to show how much The Witcher shines.

My thoughts exactly.

I have nothing against BioWare or their fans /or the fans of anything, really/. It is very childish to criticize other people's tastes.

If you dislike something, just move along, it's not getting in your way, no need to hate it. It is clear that CDP are at a high point right now and Bioware are not. It is very ugly to attack someone who is having rough times. I honestly hope bioware finds a way out of the crisis they are in.
