The Witcher 3 Collector's Edition - availability information

Just put in my pre order for the collector's edition today at GameStop. I don't like shipping CE's from Amazon. My Witcher 2 statue of Geralt's head came broken when I did that and haven't ordered a CE from them since.

It was funny, the guy from GameStop was like, "The game requires a twenty five dollar deposit to pre order the Collectors Edition." And then I was like, " Just charge for the whole thing." He had a slightly delayed reaction before changing it on the computer haha. I already know I want this game. I almost want to buy two copies...

Preordered yesterday too at Gamestop, the deposit surprised me. When I preordered the Mass Effect 3 CE they y ask me only 5€.

Sold out in Poland. The rest of the European editions are the same price (140 euros) except for UK one (160). If you don't mind having it in a different language you can buy it from Germany for example, depends where you live. Check buy.thewitcher.com for more info.

Won't I be able to change the localization in the options?

I suppose if they sell 10000 CEs in Poland alone, the revenue would be like 10% of TW3's production budget... Problem is, now there are only XBOnes left, and no one wants those

Little question: if I pre order the CE from Amazon Germany will the contents of it be in English or in German? Because the price there is ~€130 and on Amazon UK it's like £130 which is like €160... and €160 is too much for what I'd get imo...

PS. Any info on the CE for Belgium?

There's a very high chance that the CE from Germany will be in German, previous editions were too. As for Belgium, you'll likely have to wait for the Dutch stores (bol.com, nedgames) to get them, they also ship to Belgium. But I contacted them recently and they've said they still don't have any information on the status of CEs, the fault is on Bandai Namco's side from what I've heard.

Pre-ordered on the XB1 from Game's website. But I'm torn between that and ordering it in store instead. If I keep the online order there's a decent chance I'll get it a day early, but a lot of times in the past I've had my pre-orders late from ordering online, it can go either way really. So I either take my chances on that or get it in store and cart it home on release day.

I think the people in the UK get screwed over the most. 130 pounds (160 euros, 655 zloty).

£130 = AU$235 [approx] PC CE retails for $199.95

Pre-ordered the Xbox One CE and the PC CE from Amazon. I exploded from excitement when it was announced.

On a side note, the CE is sold out on Amazon across all platforms! That was fast.

It was 35GBP cheaper when it was first listed. Went up the next day to the current price.

139€ can seem a little bit pricey for sure, but I rather spend 139€ on a game I'm sure will be worth every penny and keep me busy for a hundred hours, than buying 3 games from studios which will require me to get multiple DLCs to get the full experience and that I'll find boring after playing 20 hours.

If you do the math, it's really not that costly after all, and it's a good way to show CDPR your support.

Sure, the problem is my budget.
I have to get a new rig just for TW3 which will cost me around 800 € already and I'm a student so I don't have all the money in the world.
The most expensive Collectors Edition I have seen so far (before TW3) did cost ~80 €.
Hell, I would buy the CE of TW3 even for 100 € because I 100% support CDPR.
The problem is once you get as high as 140 € (~ 3 times the price of a normal PC game) I can't keep up, especially if I have to upgrade my PC as well.

Wonder if amazon cooked that up when they got wind of the hype.
I just can't imagine the content of the CE does cost enough to justify such a high price, but wth do I know.
The only hope that remains for me is that it gets a little cheaper so I can afford it.
Would even throw the other games I wanted to buy out of my list if I could afford that.
