The witcher 3 combat system suggestion.

Hello there, got an idea about combat system and finishing moves.
I dont know exactly maybe it is difficult technically cuz no developer have done it in any game yet, but it would be great if sword or any weapon will cut exactly where it lands, not just few standard animations like limbs or head cut off.
Thats the idea :D/>
Cheers for TW3 developers team,i wish you a good luck in making the greatest rpg ever made.

It would be super awesome but it also involves a lot of work in coding/animating.
I'm not sure if they could do all this till the release date :(

Personally more then anything I'd wish they would handle impalings better. It really irks when we see no wound.

In TW2, the fights revolve a lot around dodging. It'd be nice if it's not like that in TW3.

Some techniques taken from medieval and renaissance fight manuals would be a welcome sight, and would do well for immersion. Also, about dodging, I think it would be better if Geralt jumped/stepped out of the way of an attack rather than do a roll. Yes he is a witcher of course, but I found having to roll everywhere all the time a bit weird to watch.

Devs already confirmed that there will be no rolling but pirouettes and similar evasive moves instead. I actually would have been fine with rolling if, for instance, it would used the whole stamina bar, so you could not do that often.

Ah that is good news, thank you. I did not have that much of a problem with rolling as an evasive maneuver, just that it was the only one available. I think even the White Wolf would get dizzy like that haha :)

On the swordplay, looking at the mo-cap for both TW1 and 2, CDPR have had very competent swordsmen at their disposal, but I think The Witcher 3 could benefit further from looking at a more brutal and efficient style to merge with the graceful and theatrical style of Geralt.

A few of these would make good finishing moves: https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=tsGU5KI1qJA

How about also improving the enemy variety and tactics.

-For example, fast enemies would focus on flanking Geralt while leaving the big threat to distract Geralt.
-Enemies can do combination attacks to prevent you doing easy counterattacks and force you to defend yourself in different ways depending your position and situation.
-Mages can sometimes focus on channeling incredibly dangerous spells (after applying all the necessary defensive buffs of course), to make you decide between focusing on them, or dealing with the numerous enemies that protect the mage.
-A lot more weapon variety for the enemies, like those that use huge ball and chains to attack you (the ball can deflect uncharged projectile spells and normal attacks)
-And of course, enemies can sometimes use environmental objects and traps to attack or trip you up.

those are just some of the suggestions for combat.

Once again im going through Sapkowski books, thanks to the game, and it came to my atttention that witcher regurarly uses spins (i dont mean rollin, but spins in sword combo), which we've seen in wither 2, but i think that they werent used to their potential, as they were mainlycosmetical.
The idea i have, is that as damage dealt to the back is doubled, the witcher should have and option for side-step and a spin to find himself behind the opponent, for example when that opponent is defending himself.

The rolling was one way of doing it, but unless there were npc, or you were fighting one on one with the opponent which got stunned, they were only useful to dodge or run away.
Side step+ spin would give that extra flavour to Geralt abilities, making him appear as agile as Sapkowski made him in books.
Be honest, what moron would would do a tiger jump with his head landing on the blade of a sword.
