As you can see from these latest articles it seems that two Witcher 3's
gameplay designers have left the team in order to join some indie dev studio I personally have never heared of.
Now from what we know Witcher 3 is almost feature and content complete and only thing left is hell a lot of optimisation, balancing gameplay and porting to consoles.
But still their departure does make me wonder.......:hmm:
Why would 2 game developers (if someone can tell me were they important for previous Witcher design I would be gratefull) leave CD Projekt cause we all know that CD Projekt is neither EA,Ubisoft,Bughtesa or Bioware.....they make very little compromise when it comes to quality of their games.
So.....it hardly has to do with them not getting enough room for their creativity to kick in (
or does it ?) and also I guess their wages would be much lesser in new indie studio.
Now maybe they finished their work on Witcher 3 and maybe they weren't that important for the whole process and they just wanted a little bit more responsibility and that's just it.
Or maybe (and I hate being doomsayer and I have to say this is really far fetched) they disagreed with some of the company's decision and decided to leave.Maybe they were working on stealth and VATS and we know that for now stealth has been droped and VATS has been reduced (which isn't bad thing because it shouldn't be only option for fighting, hell no,but also IMO it shouldn't be watered down cause it really sounded awesome from Angry Joe's interview).
I know that it doesn't work like that in industry and that if some of your projects doesn't pass it's no reason for you to just quit and for all we don't know this all could very well be just wild speculation and guys just wanted to experience something new because their work on Witcher 3 is done.
It would be really nice if someone from devs could comment and tell us does this in any way or form influence team's ability to finish Witcher 3 on time and does this maybe mean that some drastic or any unplanned changes to development have been made and that maybe that influenced their decision ?
I hope it's neither of those things and that guys just felt like trying something new and taking different project.
