The Witcher 3 HD Reworked Project by Halk Hogan PL

Not GF 9800 Gt. And I still use it ;)

Of course 2K textures are good enough

Maybe that's a little dated, but a lot of low-range GPUs are equipped with DDR3, which allows the manufacturer to claim 2GB or 4GB while being cheap and as slow, if you'll pardon the expression, as a good fuck.

Yeah, 2K would still be real nice.

@I_w_a_N but TW3 HAS displacement/bump maps, and in many places they're doing marvellous job. Clothes, materials, stone walls in Novigrad, sand, dry and wet ground, it's all beautifully mapped.

@PATROL

Clothes and some NPCs may have it (I think it's just well done normal mapping), but other places like rocks, ground (pavement) and brick walls are flat as hell.

Yes but :
- it's not an open-world
- global rendering is as good as The Witcher 3
- places looks absolutely not "natural" compared to TW3

And HalkHoganPL, your mod is pretty awesome ;)

The only thing your uber low-res screenshots prove is that the blue fog in TW3 is horrendous and DAI actually shows way more in terms of draw distance and LOD.

Just look at some of the parallax mods for Skyrim. Its a night and day difference when you compare the walls, terrain, rocks, etc. If W3 does not support parallax then its a moot point. Halk can only do so much.

Near all my screens are taken in 4k. Take a look : https://www.flickr.com/photos/nakazz/

Awful blue fog + bad draw distance :

Nevertheless, I can't wait for the v2.0 HalkHogan mod, I want it to make screenshots of Skellige :)

Rocks in Velen

Hello!
Some new rocks in Velen:

Almost all rocks are already reworked. ;)
Update 2.0 soon :)

Regards

I appreciate his work, but I would love him to take on something different than rocks ; ) I know some of these 'minerals' are really ugly, but... So the "hd" versions looks different, and I am not sure if that amount of bump helps in good or bad way.
