Thanks a lot for that!Regarding the HUD, you will be able to change the size of the icons/fonts as well as hide certain/all elements. Hope this answers some of the questions![]()

Hmm, would you need the mini-map if you disabled all of those? I for one wouldn't see the point of it anymore if it's not there to bring the player's attention to something.Cheers for the clarification!
I've got another, kind of follow up question, if you don't mind:
In case one wants to keep the minimap visible:
Is it possible to configure the minimap to show or not show certain symbols, like the leaf icons (representing herbs/alchemical ingredients) or the most dreaded exclamation marks? Seems like they'd make exploration and investigation pointless, not to mention the Witcher Senses.
What about opacity???Regarding the HUD, you will be able to change the size of the icons/fonts as well as hide certain/all elements. Hope this answers some of the questions![]()
Thanks. Will doWell, I'm eating my words but it's for the better. I did not expect a customizable HUD. Spread our thanks to the team Marcin.
That's very good to hear, thanks. I still have two specific questions that would solve my remaining issues with the HUD:Regarding the HUD, you will be able to change the size of the icons/fonts as well as hide certain/all elements. Hope this answers some of the questions![]()
"...you will be able to ... hide certain/all elements" pretty much answers your first question, since HUD elements =/= actual in-game map elements. That's very good to hear, thanks. I still have two specific questions that would solve my remaining issues with the HUD:
- Can you verify that we will be able to hide the quest navigation (the indication of steps/distance to the next quest location) besides the minimap with the general quest market on the minimap still visible (like it was in TW2)?
- Can you verify that we can hide the location of herbs/materials in particular on the minimap?
And I still hope that quests are designed to be found and solved WITHOUT the need to use quest markers and intrusive/extensive quest navigation...
None of my questions is answered by what Marcin said. There is a discrepancy between "certain elements" and "all elements" you know..."...you will be able to ... hide certain/all elements" pretty much answers your first question, since HUD elements =/= actual in-game map elements.
As for your second question you might as well turn off the mini-map then. I know I will.
Good point. I'm speculating he meant that you can hide some of the HUD or just all of the HUD, like in TW2. You can ask them during the live stream then. Or, you know, wait for the game to find out. Good luck.None of my questions is answered by what Marcin said. There is a discrepancy between "certain elements" and "all elements" you know...
And turning off the minimap doesn't solve my second issue since I like having a minimap but only for "fast" navigation, not for "spoilers" that break immersion or the sense of exploration too much.
No ... when youre on horse you dont look in the left upper corner... that stuff is distracting and makes you run into walls...I think its well placed..though kinda unneccesary addon...
