What is your point ? We all have different opinions, and @Dragonbird suggested me to do it. Maybe some moders will like suggestion ;)

Why not?
And, saying THIS again, all it takes for a mod to happen is
1. Someone thinks they can make it.
2. Someone wants to make it.
So all suggestions are valid.

"Console Commands" in TW3?

Does TW3 have the ability to edit game content (advance quests, kill or spawn NPCs, items or monsters, edit stats, etc.) from in game? While these can be dangerous to use they can also help clean up quests, etc that getting bugged during gameplay.

If so, has anyone seen a list of such commands as well as how to access them?

I really hope that the modding kit comes out right with the game and the modders come out swinging for the fence.

Mods are what has kept skyrim installed on my harddrive years and years after launch. I think that if CDPR implemented some sort of steam workshop equivlant into their game or GOG galaxy mod workshop or something that would make it as easy as one click "install mod" to game so that we don't have to fumble around with downloading and extracting and trying to figure out how to install these mods, that would make it even better.

As far as mod content goes, new story content is always great but with so much of the witcher games being dialogue driven, it may prove difficult to realistically add a lot of that into the game without quality voice actors (not to mention needing Geralt's VA to avoid the silent protagonist treatment)

Visual mods, monster mods, new items, places to explore and just randomly kill stuff like monster killing contracts that take you to a new cave or fort or something like that to explore with new loot would be fun.

Beefing some of the graphics back up to 2013 reveal levels of detail would also be a nice added bonus (increased vegetation, draw distance, LOD, more detailed architecture, etc) but I'm sure that there will be ENB's and stuff like that (hopefully) to perhaps carry it beyond what we were initially shown.

I will just put it here and say.

Here's to hope that there will be less ugly wenches(well the right word is "Whores" but.... yeah...) in the brothel :p

I stayed totally away from the Brothel in TW2 because of that.

Seems the skybox at least won't be needing much modding, Jose "The God of clouds" Teixeira could not have done a better job. Thank you! :D

If only we could have seen this happen in the actual game while meditating, which I bet (hope) someone will be able to mod in. :)

I really doubt that the modding kit is shipping with the game, they would have said so already. Let's hope it doesn't take too long at least

Heys guys I don't know if someone already answer it but.. will the RedToolKit 3 have some kind of API, so we can plug custom code modules and I add new features or modify existing ones ?

If so I have a couple of ideas I would like to implement for some years related to the witcher saga.

Hey, I don't want to create a new subject for that question and I think this is the best place for it.

Is there any chance to see a patch / mod to get back the old foliage textures ? That + a Sweet Fx might bring back the atmosphere I LOVED about the early trailer and game-play videos.

I mean, the "old" textures have been created so they exist. It would be easy for CDPR to give them to those who want to get it.

This is not a texture problem but more a question of Paralax and color filter. There is a 2048x2048 texture option in the game and trust me, it would not make sense to go higher than that unless you want to make your rig suffer (I tried 4k textures on skyrim for armors and some shiny stuff and full 2k for the rest and it was perfect with ENB + paralax).

I'm guessing the Sharpen option and paralax (if this is an option) will bring back something close to what we've seen on older footage.

I know what things I want to see that are hopefully within the realms of possibility!

- Horse Variations (Skin / Fur Colours, Patterns, Types) (Donkey, Pony, Stallions etc)
- Hair Dye ? (Geralt with a Flaming Red Mohawk? Jk)
- More Unique sword styles (Imports from foreign lands , Curved blades and polearms)
- Difficulty Scaling ( Mobs levels / difficulty adjust based on players level so it is always a challenge, no steamrolling lower level mobs etc)
- Custom Dungeons / Maps ? (Might be a big task but I would like to get back into level design myself)
- More transport methods? ( Horse and Carts, More Boats, Glider? :> )
- Exploding Chickens anyone?
- Throwing Knives, Axes, Spears?

Just a few ideas that i might attempt myself.

Anyone that thinks it is possible to mod the timing dialog out of the game or just disable them? I really dislike timed dialog to the core of my bones so if at all possible I will do almost everything to get ride of them so I don't have to sit and reload the whole time.

The biggest problem to face (imo) with mod creation taking off, for a particular game, is compatibility. (and I'm speaking of instances when it's 'officially' supported here, and tools provided). Other than the type of said game, and the quality of tools, etc.

The Witcher 2's REDKit came out quite a bit after the games' release, of course. But, I don't think that was really the deciding factor as to why mods didn't really take off for it. It was compatibility. Quite a lot of changes made, were modifying the same scripts (player.ws, movable.ws, combat.ws, etc), and it made for a compatibility nightmare lol.

I personally made quite a lot of mods for The Witcher 2, but I never released them to the public (other than a simple one that I did the day I first downloaded REDKit. A really early 0.01 alpha version which simply altered the camera distance),

This was because, I had to consolidate all of my modifications(and there were quite a lot by the time it was finished) into one 'uber' mod, to make it work effectively.

There was unfortunately no feasible way to have muliple mods(excluding texture only ones, ofc), unless by pure chance they were all completely avoiding the same scripts lol.

I wonder if the guys have overcome this problem, this time around. It's easier said than done, though of course.

Well there you are totally wrong as Skyrim has the exact same problem, if anything it's even worse because only the last file is applied, compatibility patches are required to make mods work together if they chamge the same files.

I have very little experience of the Witcher 2, but one advantage to editing the Vanilla files is using the User Content folder. This appears toallows you to name a file the same as the games (player.ws, movable.ws, combat.ws, etc) but only contain your changes to be applied to the original.
Mods though would need the same compatibility patches that Skyrim does.

So obviously the compatability isn't the reason for Witcher 2 modding being so small. Linear mechanics is one major factor and 2 years late with RedKit the other.

We need some ENB or some lighting mods. Textures look good, but the lighting is terrible. I want the RedKit to be released as soon as possible.

Very basic mods that people should look into is if they can put in some songs from Witcher 1 files into Witcher 3. Dont get me wrong, I still want to hear the W3 stuff cuz it's fantastic, I just really want to hear that good old tune Murky Waters Village tune again on the right places https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=1beH3kq-dlo

First thing i would love to see is a grass overhaul mod similar to the skyrim grass overhauls. Also a weather overhaul mod would be sweet. The vanilla weather already looks good but i'm thinking about something like Skyrim's Climates of Tamriel.
