we're almost in July, and still no news on the REDkit 2. especially that the modding scene for TW3 (stuck at 193 mods on nexus) is starting to die, if not already dead.
what's the hold up guys ? any progress ? @

There's no modding scene as such. Only very minor stuff. 90% of which Reshade presets.
Not saying there are no exceptions, though.
As long as the game remains popular through the months, there's no risk of "modding scene dying", or at least not directly related to Redkit.
The game itself does not offer, nor needs the level of modding (esp. low level) Skyrim got, particularly in the first few CK-less months. Textures, minor npc alterations, equipment, and such are not as important for TW3.
Moreover, whether Redkit comes out today or in 6 months' time, the modding community for the Witcher series is basically starting from scratch regardless. There's no legion of modders just itching to get working on the game.
So in essence, it would be nice to have it sooner rather than later, but let's not get our hopes sky-high with no. of Witcher 3 mods going through the roof and matching in scale or depth Skyrim's, or anything..
