It is absolutely vital they get this kit out while the game is still hot since mods could be MASSIVE for this game. Imo Redkit is far more important than the expansions right now and they need to strike soon. .

despite how slow modding have become, there were some cool mods that made their appearance:
- for those who think that the game controls feel clunky, especially for the horse: http://www.nexusmods.com/witcher3/mods/236/?

-fixing the rend skill, which is weaker than a regular attack in the vanilla version of the game: http://www.nexusmods.com/witcher3/mods/237/?

-another launcher, similar to the one in TW2, with the same functionalities:http://www.nexusmods.com/witcher3/mods/239/?

i haven't tested out myself, but they're worth checking out, as far as i'm concerned :)

Yeah I'm running my game with about 10 mods, and it is definitely an improvement over vanilla. However, I'm dying to see what people can do with the redkit!

I feel like the wait for this modkit is worse than any wait for a game I've endured.

Here is what I found in debug console:

- Wild Hunt Armour - which gives 300 vitality, 40% protectiong against burn, and few more bonuses
- Wild Hunt Pants - it also gives couple of bonuses
- Wild Hunt Gloves - it also gives couple of bonuses and they have some random icon which don't look like wild hunt gloves at all

However when I tried to equip them nothing happened lol, geralt had the same inventory as before wearing it, they also don't have any icons, so it's like they are disabled or just don't exist and it's a leftover.
Nice thing I noticed after I found alot of Wild Hunt Swords, there was one covered in blood and Geralt held it on his side instead of his back, that looked nice.

I also found either a beta bomb or just a leftover which looks like this:

I also found a 'strong lighting source' it's like torch but you cannot run with it when you use it (same animations like the magic lamp from keira)
it says it's a stronger lighting source but it's actually wearker than torch lol, it looks like this.

No kidding. The modding potential is huge.

Modders could also fix problems RED can't/won't fix. Cough...HORSE STUTTER...cough cough.

I'll just leave this here.

I don't understand why they've spent so much time and effort getting NG+ ready, when it's obvious that Redkit is vastly more important and will keep their fans busy even when Fallout 4 comes out (which is obviously the only real competition TW3 will have from another RPG).

I mean, personally, I'll take an alpha build over nothing. And we haven't even heard any news yet. I created a thread to address this, but it hasn't caught on, unfortunately. (Probably because I'm cursed or something).

Well, the reason is obvious. 2/3 of the playerbase isn't on PC, so they focus first on things that are going to be released on all platforms. Once major patches and DLC are out however, it's a different story

I was wondering, if it would be possible to create an addon to keybind blade oils and/or have more than two keybinds for other consumables?

don't forget the horrible KB/M support at launch (which was fixed at first by a user here, despite not having modding tools), the NPC & building pop-in, the butchered LOD/draw distance, and so on.

Correct me if I'm wrong here, but haven't CDPR expressly stated that they still consider themselves a PC-first company?

As much as they might like to be, they still have to do right by the investors, and when it comes to making big money in the video game world, consoles is where it's at. While probably 90% of all console players payed 60(+) euros (or equivalent) for the game, I'd be surprised if even half of the PC players payed over 50 euros (or equivalent) for the game. And even though they get more money when it's bought from GOG (supposedly), I don't think it's enough to make up for that gap.

Besides, out of the 4 million copies sold (when that info was released), only a third was on PC. So what company would abandon two thirds of its customers by prioritizing the other third? It's a money thing. I'm confident the CDPR guys could have made a game that looked like it was made 5 years from now if they had no requirements from their investors and if they had an infinite budget, but sadly that's not how things work. They are a company, and the continuity of their company is their first interest. And the only way to secure continuity is by making enough money to grow as a business, because that is what draws investors to your company.

I think you gotta look at it like this: the whole equality for everyone thing is their day job, the stuff they have to do for their bosses, while the PC-first stuff is more secondary, that's something that they like to do but isn't required by their investors, so it's still important to them but it does not come in the first place.

I could be wrong about this, but this is how I imagine things work.

Not at all, my good man! Not at all!

And thibaud. Those are all very good points. Always good to see a new way to look at things. Honestly, I'm just bummed out we haven't gotten any word on the program when it's so riddled with possibility. That's what it really boils down to.
