I can respect what the guy is doing, but fantasy-swords aren't my thing (unless they're close enough to historical swords, i.e., Boromir's sword, Theoden's sword).

That's what I love about Witcher 2. There was a copious selection of Medieval Longswords; many of which are actually historically accurate.

Well it could mean that, or it could mean scabbard customization....... or they're just undecided in choosing the correct ones for each sword.

There's no slot in the inventory for scabbard, so I doubt if you get to pick one, unless you mod. I'd expect it to be the same as TW2, where each sword (or armour, I've forgotten which) is linked to a specific scabbard and belt.
