The Witcher 3 sub-forum modding (Mods & Adventures)

Hello,
I have noticed that the community start creating & publishing mods, so i suggest, its would be great that CDPR will create an sub-forum
that named: Modding OR Mods & Adventures (like the the others forums)
So if people are looking to find some mods, they got the sub-forum.

(I guess they gonna create the sub forum eventually, when the modding community gets even bigger, but I think its good that even when the modding community is kind of small, the sub-forum would be great.)

My suggestion to the purpose of the sub forum is:

1. To publish your mods, share it with the community.

2. Requesting mods, so people can request mods and maybe some modder would like to take the idea and make an mod.

3, Troubleshooter, if someone need any help installing the mod,or even if someone create an mod and need help with something

These are my suggestions, people can add in the comments what they would like to see in the modding sub-forum, or if they think that there is any needs to have sub-forum for that.

(P.S: english isn't my strong language, so if i made grammer mistakes, please tell me in private message or in the comments.)

When REDKit gets launched there's already a full forum already set up for it:-

In the meantime, much as I hate to tell people to go somewhere else, requesting mods is probably best done over at The Nexus - they already have a section set up for TW3, and that's where the modders tend to hang out:
http://www.nexusmods.com/witcher3/?
It's a convenient place, as they're also geared up to hosting the mods, which we're not.

And, if you do make mods, or see good ones, please add them to the list here:

So, I've discovered that most of the textures are in the textures.cache files. I've extracted them, and when textures are extracted, they are named with hashes in place of slashes to indicate the folder structure, like:

#environment#landscape#mudbank.dds

I'm guessing that there will be an override folder, and modded textures placed in the correct subfolders will be loaded in favour of the ones in the texture.cache files. I believe that in Witcher 2 the override folder was named 'CookedPC'. Can CDPR confirm that it is the same in W3, or perhaps say if this has not been enabled yet, so I don't waste my time.

I too like to express an interest in learning whether there's an existing override structure in place, and what if it looks like. If not, could we expect this to be patched, rather than waiting for the kit?
