I wonder...they said that they wanted to save ultra for release.
Maybe this is just a ruse or something lol. Maybe they want to completely shock and blow us away come actual release..and this is some sort of "ploy".
Maybe?
This has been my feeling all along lol..
They could be the first to pull off a true upgrade, even on consoles.
What would gamers do!?! Are they going to bitch and get mad because the game now looks better at launch on all platforms?
I think that would be Great, no one has ever done that.

I'm mean.. if most people like it as it looks now and somehow it looks even better than these preview builds.
Holy shit they foold us all but in a good way right?
Yeah, I still have my doubts but that would be fucking killer on their part for all of us

When I look at TW3 the vast majority of the graphical qualitys look astounding and makes for a very rich and detailed environment and atmosphere. But there are 2 things that I've noticed that look very odd and breaks immersion for me.
The foiliage: While the foliage looks nice and dense it looks very bright, and has a washed out look, it looks as though it came from a water color painting. The problem is that it is not consistent with the more realistic graphical approach such as the tree bark, armor, water etc.
The second problem I see is the continuous fade in/out of objects that are behind/close to you. I'm not sure if that is for optimization or an design choice. Nonetheless it breaks immersion. The issue is really due to the objects fading out/in prematurely and it really takes me out.
All in all, TW3 looks super immersive and this is why those things really stand out to me. Is anyone else noticing these things and would like to see it fixed in a later patch?
P.S. I am judging my opinions from the latest youtube gamplays from the personality's.
I must admit, I am not a fan of the trees and bushes fading out before I can even pass them. In fact I don't like it at all.. it bothers me a lot too, my only guess is.. it has to be like that for the game to run smooth without loading screens.
I guess that's the price we pay and we will just have to deal with it and try to ignore it the best we can. Everything else looks pretty damn amazing, I do wish Geralt could cling on to that bridge in that one video I just saw, he just falls and dies. Geralt needs to be able to hold on to it and pull him self up.
Or on big rocks in the open world for example, it's cool & fun how Dragon's Dogma did it. DAI not cool, it had no climb animations at all it looks fucking stupid try to hop like a bunny over and over to reach a higher rock. I'm telling all devs world wide take cues from Dragon's Dogma and do it better! lol.. That game just felt good to play, it was fast it was fun and the freedom to sprint and jump up on to high rocks and monsters was a blast. Down side was the crappy walking animations the childish story the open world graphics, cheesey voice actors annoying pawns blah blah blah yeah it could have been so much better if the artists at CDPR were behind it, I have to say though.. Dragon's Dogma has some great monster a dragon designs, some of the best I've ever seen and then The Witcher 3 was born

lol..
