The Witcher 3: Wild Hunt — 10th Anniversary Trailer

+

Today we celebrate 10 years of killing monsters and forging unforgettable memories!

It's been a decade since players first stepped into Geralt's boots and began their search for Ciri — discovering all the choices, adventures, and stories that followed.

Thank you for walking this Path with us. You made The Witcher 3: Wild Hunt the legendary journey it is today.

Now tell us, what is your fondest memory of The Witcher 3?

Happy anniversary, witchers! Here's to another ten years on the Path!

My fondest memory from The Wild Hunt would have to be my first breathtaking view of Kaer Morhen, after all that time away from the old place, and seeing Vesemir again. 'Twas good to be back! As for Hearts of Stone, certainly becoming reacquainted with Shani was a high point, and for Blood and Wine, the Lady of the Lake. There were some very fine quests along the way, and many intriguing locations, but encountering old friends stands out strongest for me.

Cheers, all!

How can I only pick one?

Instead of picking one specific event from the game, I'll go with more general statement. It was the entire experience with Witcher 3. I can't remember any game ever making me feel the same way Witcher 3 did. When the game ended, I just had to play it again. And again. And again. I couldn't stop (except after 7 or 8 playthroughs I think?). Honestly, I had really hard time moving on to other games after Witcher 3. Nothing else felt worth playing. I got all the trophies, all the ? marks (yes, even those in Skellige), I went through all quest outcomes, I tried (hopefully) all possible options and paths... I just had to experience everything.

Yeh, it wasn't a game. It was an unforgettable, magical experience. Even today if I launch Witcher 3, it still feels like coming home. Even if I just sit in the main menu. Too bad you can only play it first time once, when everything is still new and you don't have any idea what's going to happen. I truly miss that feeling.

- Bloody Baron. I hated him. I loved him.
- Bog witches.
- Saying "I don't love you" to Yennefer made me feel like biggest asshole in the world, even if I never liked her.
- Baby in the oven.
- "Fuck off vampire" in Novigrad.
- Gaunter O'Dimm with a spoon was super creepy.
- Threesome with Yen and Triss.
- Trolls. You can only love them.
- Whole Toussaint felt like a warm and nice summer day on the countryside at granny's.
- Every time I see a cast iron pan, I remember Witcher 3.
- Overall the entire game music.
- Losing Vesemir =(

Watching the 10th anniversary trailer brought back so many memories... IMO one of the best computer games I've had the pleasure of playing.

I know it sounds stupid, but on Skellige, after Yen attempts to use the mask and we're attacked by the monsters...

Geralt: "What the hell was that?"

Yen (in the driest voice humanly possible): "Unicorns..."

Geralt: "Not the foglets, damnit!"

That scene made me laugh out loud, and I was fighting the giggles for 15 minutes.

As for more serious notes:
The whole Bloody Baron questline was a consistently surprising and nuanced chapter. It really made me sympathize with the guy, even though I still wanted to break his teeth. Fantastic character building and story telling!

Happy anniversary!
The game is amazing. I wish Witcher 4 would be as good as Witcher 3.

...was the whole sequence of finding Ciri on the Isle of Mists, see Avalach's spirit to rescue her, and teleport from there to Kaer Morhen.

However, I don't like this trailer at all.
It may be trying to tell a story, but it's so badly cut and the lines are so inconsistent that it strikes me as a random fan montage.

My fondest memory is anything related to Yennefer, so I'll just pick the first time I met her in the game. The real Yennefer from the games, not the fake Yennefer from the TV show. Well, maybe not real, but you know what I mean.

Second-fondest memory is Ciri getting her 5 minutes alone with the hags.
