The game was announced in February 2013, the accompanying image was of Geralt with facial hair which looked fucking amazing and it was said that it would be released sometime in 2014, that has been delayed twice in 2014 and now it's May 19th 2015.

Fall 2014 marks the period the game went from Alpha to Beta
Feb 2015 is the period polishing commences
May 19 has always been the release date

I had to slap myself in the face for screwing that date up.i think CD didnt want to bring the game ever out...........until you ask them.......now that you asked they want to bring it out....and because of you they will never delay the game again (is this what you want to hear??)

Why do I feel like the original date published was never really the completion date anyway. Perhaps the move to open the game for pre-purchase on Steam was simply an attempt to receive funding as the project was running out of money. It was likely always a May release. Meh, I wouldn't be so bent out of shape but I just finished Dragon Age Inquisition and need a fix, decided to check Steam and found out I have to wait until May. Bioware will likely have released a DLC by then

So, HELL NO. The release dates previously published were those that the development team believed they could meet, until that belief was superseded by inconvenient facts. Claims that there was a shortage of funds are transparently false, as CDPR's finances are public record, and no such shortage can be identified from their statements.

I hear ya, just kinda blows that I have now paid so far in advance for nothing. So my 60 bucks that could have been getting me interest in my bank since August 23rd (when I purchased it) now has a depreciated value because I have to wait longer
Yeah, that is a bummer. But the stockholders who bought CD Projekt stock at the top, expecting mad profits before the end of 2014, have taken their lumps, too.
