This is great news , loved the part about CD Projekt being independent.

I wonder if they will consider making The Witcher 3 available for pre-order in the early stages of development like Crate did for Grim Dawn. I will be more than happy to give them my money.

So much info to take in. First off: THE WITCHER 3!!!! YEEESSSS!!! My GOTY 2014. Take all my money. ..Ehm.. Ok on a more serious note: No more Witcher from CDPR is indeed a sad thing for me personally but for CDPR who wants to try out new grounds and technology this is something they have thought long and hard on. If they wanted to they could make a Witcher game later if they wanted to or sell the rights to another company they feel could continue creating this franchise with same honor an integrity that CDPR has done so far, hopefully in the same or similar gameengine.

I really like CDPRs business model and seeing as Jesse Cox and Joe from Angry Joe Show is saying that the people working for CDPR are really amazing people with great sense of humor is extremely rare these days among Developers unfortunatley. CDPR cares about their fans/consumers rarely seen these days and for those reasons alone I am gonna buy The Witcher 3 with great joy and sadness that they will no longer make more in this superb franchise that has earned my Second and third place on my Top 11 best games I have ever played list.

Looking forward to see what you will do with Cyberpunk 2077 and up coming games. I wish you all the best and thanks for doing the wonderful games and for being such a great company.

I grew up with StarWars. It was THE movie trilogy of my childhood.
Then games slowly but steadily grew in importance and replaced those memories of old with new ones I now cherish, hold dear and revisit as often as I want (I still do replay those classics from time to time).
The Witcher series is my new StarWars.
Even if they put Ewoks into TW3 it cannot and never will push it from its throne I placed it on.
Go out with a bang !!!!!
I don't need to feel all warm and fuzzy at the end of a trilogy. I want emotions and those can be bittersweet or devastating as well. They can even shroud it in more mystery, this is how legends get born and sustained.
CDPR can be really proud of TheWitcher and reducing a grown man to a teary-eyed child.

Well, from what I've heard W3 will be the end of Geralt's story but not the end of the Witcher games (I've seen that info on a few Polish websites so I think that this is true).

Yes. CDProject. You guys are the Bomb!! I look forward to the last Witcher game with excitement and trepidation. Could this be the last Great Witcher game in my generation? Oh Lord. Well not happy The Witch 3 the last one.
You all have made the sale and destruction of Bioware by EA bearable for me by picking up the reigns and running with them so will be truely disappointed to see The Witcher series end.

On the up side I cant tell you how excited I am for Cyberpunk (yes im that old that I played the table top version back in the day).

Still this sounds amazing and while I NEVER take anyone else (developers and designers) at their word, you have yet to fail me so Im REALLY PUMPED ABOUT THIS.

Cant wait for 2014 now.

While I'm bummed to hear that this will be the final game in the series, I'm so excited for this game. Even though the Wild Hunt was obviously going to be a major emphasis for this game, I'm unusually excited to see "Wild Hunt" in the title. While CDPR hasn't done anything to make me doubt them, I really hope that what they've said holds true because my mind boggles at the possibilities. I'm going to have to look into some hardware when we get closer to the release date because I want to experience this game at its maximum.
