Really impressive numbers, guys! Only Xbox One doens't seem that demanded in Germany. The numbers for the PC and PS4 versions are pretty strong! :)

But there is not the same expectation for TW3 than TW2. I, e.g., never ever bought any CD nnor TW2. This time I DO it so you imagine the result, well, you'll not. I'm afraid not even the same CDPR are able to make an estimate of how demand has soared. There's no comparison.

Of course they can't estimate the exactly rise of potential customer but they had to know that there will be a soar. And they had to deal with it. And it's not CDPR who had to do this, its the Publisher who is responsible for that.

If it's not already mentioned, the CE is sold out across all platforms on Amazon.com.

But only in eastern Europe. For every other region there are partners, and the largest is Namco Bandai (former Atari). And that NB isn't a good Publisher some already know (e.g. the sue 2 years ago or so)
And even if CDPR is the main publisher and own the rights. They had a contract with NB and NB is responsible for western Europ and Australia I think and they had a strong influence in publishing TW.

EDIT: I can't understand how CDP could work with NB again after that legal problems the last years. I hope some day CDPR would expand to western Europe. They are the best and their philosophy is the best among other publishers.

WB, NB and others are only distributors, not publishers.

What Reptile said, the deal is for distribution only, Namco or WB are not 'publishing' anything.

Ah of course, I used the wrong word. I'm sorry.
What I wanted to say is that they had influence and in the past it was often bad influence.

When I get an email from Amazon I'm ready to pounce. I think it's $150 no? Pretty steep. It'll be worth it though. Can't wait to feel that cold, hard medallion in my hands. Yessssss my precious...

Slim, Gamestop US seems to have it for 150. I say seem because there is a weee processing issue with my order. Maybe the preorder status? Anyway, yeah.

I think Namco and Warner are doing both publishing and marketing, at least in parts. Otherwise you probably wouldn't see their logos so prominently on posters and stuff. But I could wrong about that of course. ;)

@Wolfsblvt
No, I don't think so. Witcher 2 was uncut in Germany and I don't see any reason why Witcher 3 should be cut. Ratings in Germany has become quite liberal in the past few years (if you don't have any Nazi symbols or any misuse of corpses involved)... ;)

Out of curiosity, what makes you so certain? Was TW1/TW2 CE also in German?

I don't own the CE of TW2, but in the normal version the official game guide was fully translated. And all other stuff too.

My guess is that the mini-guides and manual (included in the standard edition) would ve been translated. But hardly possible that the Artbook had more than Polish and English as languages. My TW2 Artbook is from England, but really doubt they would go the extra mile of translating and printing books of 170+ pages in multiple languages. TW1 CE was the same in that respect.

Hey guys. Can someone pls explain the current situation to me?

I'm from Czech republic, eagerly waiting for months for CDPR to announce the preorders. Since the trailer and the memo went live, I tried to buy the CE. It's not working, what's up with that?

View attachment 3766

So how do I get my CE? Reading posts about CE being sold out is highly disturbing an I tend not to trust them.
