multi plat games have been better on ps4 than on xone even with the higher resolution yet this game suffers of heavy framerate problems while the xone doesn't or at least most of the time doesn't... this is obviously the case of some bad optimization or other issues on part of the ps4 version...

He probably expected constant 60 fps, Ultra level of detail, Sync ON, at ultra 1080p.............Just for 400 bucks!

To be fair, what makes you think people cant make a new account as "PCfanboy" and talk about the downgrade?

No it isn't. I've seen plenty of videos showing that the PS4 version runs on a constant 30FPS and never dips under it, at least not during gameplay.

Ofcourse 30 FPS might not feel as smooth during fast combat sequences with lot of camera movement but it is what it is. If you want more than 30FPS you should have bought the PC version.

It would have been a good start, specially when he's whining about "shitty Framerate" and then shows a Video without any Framerate issues at all.

Here you go. From Digital Foundry.

I own both the PC and PS4 versions of the game. The PS4 version of the game absolutely has some technical issues that should be looked at to see if they can be addressed. Those are:

1. Framerate issues. This usually happens in areas with lots of water surfaces (Crookback Bog) or fog. Fog/mist in particular absolutely crush the framerate on the PS4, to the point that it is borderline unplayable. Go to any area that is shrouded in fog in this game, and try fighting foglet enemies. You WILL watch the framerate crawl to a slideshow; this is pretty easily reproduced 100% of the time.

2. Pop-in problems on the stock hard drive. If you have an aftermarket HDD replacement, you probably don't notice this as much, but the game has serious problems reading and loading data from the drive sometimes. This is why you will fast travel to Novigrad, run to a blacksmith, and find that half of the textures in the area are missing, there are no NPCs, and you have to stop and stand still for 10+ seconds waiting for this stuff to load in. And then once it's loaded, you have to wait another 5 seconds for the talk action to become available on the smith.

That said, I think the PS4 port of the game is pretty good. It's playable and although it doesn't compare to Ultra PC settings, it still looks very good.

But the framerate issues are definitely real, and the pop-in issue for players who haven't modded their PS4s are also real.

Thanks, mate, much appreciated. Tbh, what i found even more annoying, are the Pop in problems, they are really massive.

It is strange- it runs on the Xbox fairly well, at least in my experience.

That frame rate looked completely playable, I was expecting stuttering, and the general framerate chugging.

Better fps is always nice, but I think if you want to play a cutting edge open world game at 1080p and solid framerate, a console is not for you my friend.

100% lies... Unless you are blind and/or have no real sense of detecting it. Hey I even saw lots of people in the office back in the days with their monitor refresh rates running at 40ish and didn't complain about headaches.

Simply sticking your head in the sand like a fanboy and waving away the problems doesn't help.

Anyways, that video from digital foundry shows enough proof in case you are still ignoring the obvious.

Oh and the PC version doesn't fare much better over 30 fps unless you own a beast of a system and/or turn down the most demanding details/post processing.. In which case you are looking at a game from 6 years ago.

Started it on ps4 and played around 30hrs and couldnt stand the fps drops anymore, unplayable.
Anyone who says they dont notice should test their eyes or brains.

After waiting for 3 weeks for a fix, I decided to upgrade my 7yrs old pc and purchased a gtx970.
Its like im playing another game now with almost everywhere at 60fps on ultra. Never ever touching the ps4 version again.
not saying the ps4 cant handle it, its just that cdpr seems to be incompetent to fully otimize it on ps4.

Lol maybe you shouldn't make comments about the PC version when you clearly know very, very little.
