Not everybody likes he things that you like, to the extent that you like them. The fact some people don't find selfies particularly entertaining doesn't mean they can't enjoy themselves or indulge in fun activates. Do try to keep that in mind, Emperorzorn.
And, please, let's not kid ourselves. The selfies manoeuvre is specifically designed to have Witcher trending on Twitter and generate buzz across social media. That's not a bad thing, mind you, but let's not pass it for light-hearted aimless fun. It's marketing.
Now, I'm confident cosplay and selfies are not at he heart of TW3 marketing. I should hope not, at least. To me neither is really aligned with TW3's dark, gritty mood.

That's true.
I'm just glad that CDPR seems to offer some sort of activity for everyone,
the best part being that you don't have to take part in it if you don't like it.
Of course it's marketing ! But marketing does not have to exclude fun.
You can create fun for a group of people and promote a product at the same time, like CDPR does.
Does it really matter though ?
There won't be selfies in the game.
PR just tries to get word of the product to as many people as possible,
it doesn't mean that these events do have to match the lore of Sapkowski's universe,
as long as the final product does.

I'm certainly not upset, I'm happy they are providing things for those of you who enjoy such, and I would go to the 'com if I could. I'm also not - and I never am even if you or the REDs think otherwise - taking potshots at their approach to PR to be hurtful, rather to point out things could be done more originally with a little more effort (or so I continue to believe, since they have shown originality and difference_to_the_norm before).
That's completely fine.
If you have any ideas on how they could improve on these things, post them.
The REDs are reading the forums and I'm sure they'd appreciate that.

Thats fine because I make no assumptions, but it's only really hurtful to me when my original question / idea is answered indirectly by a RED through skipping my post and replying to someone who took up or replied to my post. (This has happened many times, perhaps I intimidate them
