Whaaa??

man..... that's.... horrible news

I feel with everybody that has already been waiting for CP2077 since its announcement

///e

well, having read the original post it looks like the release date has just been delayed by 3-5 months. If it's all just testing and fine tuning most of the blue team (or which was it) should be available for CP2077s development already this year. Also 2015 was never guaranteed in the first place so may...be.. it's....all good..?

And what rate is that,if I may ask?I am guessing that they started some real work on the game at the time that CGI trailer was released(in January last year)which means that they are working on it a little over year now.To me three years is a bear minimum needed for an open world sandbox games like this...unless you 're Ubisoft and you pop them out annually.

Sorry. Just upset that we got potential info reveals delayed even further after a year-long drought.

I could swear that I once read they started developing the game before Witcher 2 was even out, or at least around that time. Can't find any sources for that, though, and my Google-fu is proving useless because all that comes up is news about the delay.

I would be surprised not to see CP2077 info sometime later this year. Perhaps summer.

The Witcher release date delay is only a few months - many of us expected late November, so really, three months.

Consider how many games you've played that could have benefited from the designers' honest appraisal and fine-tuning.

I'm still mourning my most--looked-for-2014 game being delayed. Ah, well. Tis for the best. I won't remember the wait time and I will remember playing the game.

No need to apologize dude I am a bit nervous myself about how will this affect CP2077 development...hopefully we'll get some solid info this year.

Well, we mods don't know any more than you, so we're all just guessing but yes, I would expect a 2016 release date for CP77 now. Not for technical reasons, as it's a separate team, and they'll be learning from any TW3 experiences, but simply because they may not want to release both games in the same year. GOTY and all that.

As Sard said, the actual delay on TW3 is probably only around 3 months, as most of us were expecting an October/November release anyway. So maybe around Feb 2016 for CP?

Sweet. I'm pulling for a 2/27/16 release date because I enjoy proof that the world really does revolve around me.

(Unless you're one of those crazy people living in a country that does month/day/year instead of day/month/year, in which case you're doing it all wrong and I refuse to accommodate your insanity; having the date go from smallest measure of time to the largest makes way more sense than jumping around for no reason.)

So shouldn't that be 22/7/16?
And if it is, it's YOUR FAULT

It would only be that if their crazy date scheme made any sense whatsoever. Which it doesn't.

I'd definitely make you all suffer for five months for the sake of my ego if it came to that, though. Besides, July's such a pretty month! So warm, and you'll have free time in the summer to binge! It'd be doing you all a favor, really!

Isn't 2/27/16 month/day/year? So you're one of those crazy people?

This is so nice. I love the comment section. No one is bitching or complaining about the delay. CD Projekt Red have been really good to the people. From their stand on DRM, to nice enhanced version. It's nice to see people being grateful for it.
Even pirates feel ashamed and compelled to buy it. That one company everybody trust, and it's one of those where it feels so genuine.
So, take your time.
Just like in the Cyberpunk trailer.

Oh. Right.

Should probably mention that I'm coming off of a serious strain of the stomach flu and not quite firing on all cylinders yet. Earlier today I literally tried to use "you couldn't... come up with... words and stuff" as a witty retort.

Let's face it, 2015 was a pipe dream for 2077. I was already concerned about TW3 coming out this year. Seemed too early for such an ambitious game.

I'm shocked. I'd assumed it was a deliberate attempt to confuse us, and was determined to ignore it rather than give you the pleasure of winning your mental bet with your even-more-evil self.

Nice witty retort, btw. Make sure to use it often. And sorry to hear about your stomach flu, hope you're back to firing on all 2.27 cylinders soon.

Ha, it fills me with joy to see that I inspire such caution. If any of the other people who got sick are any indication, I'm going to be halfway between dreamland and real life for around a week. I would have stayed away the whole time to avoid saying stupid things, but you all just had to mod-ify Sillykitty and Rep while I was gone. That's a once-in-a-lifetime opportunity for snark.

Just saying, anything stupid I end up saying for the next couple days is probably your fault.

Fair enough. Just don't imply that I'm responsible for anything stupid you've said in the past. I couldn't bear that much guilt on my conscience.
