That's true, and that's totally fine with me if that's the thrust of the story, and the preoccupation of the vast majority or entirety of the main missions. But they went through so much trouble making us care about Saskia's vision for the Pontar Valley, and stirring up feelings either for the oppressed Scoia'tael or pushing our patriotic buttons with Roche and Temeria, that I feel like the plots from TW2 at least deserve some significant side-quest action. Since they've said that there is as much side quest playtime as main quest, hopefully that means they've filled it with meaningful story arcs that tie in to those events. As opposed to filling the time entirely with interesting but unconnected stories or, god forbid, generic repetitive fetch quests a-la Skyrim (I don't think they'll do that). The end of TW2 has Geralt in the same state regardless of all of his choices - he's off to search for Yen and the Wild Hunt. The information about the savegame imports and the fact that this is going to be a personal quest, not a political/world-saving one, work within that context. TW2 decisions affect the secondary characters and the state of the world, but don't directly touch Geralt himself.
I personally do think that they'll do something satisfying, but I worry because I loved TW2
LolThe other reason I swooped on Sardukhar is because I enjoy swooping on Sardukhar.
