There are models where it's possible, it's only never a good idea in terms of performance/dollar. The same goes for gaming laptops in general, reallyUpgrading a gpu to a laptop? Never heard of such a thing.

Ah yes if the laptop has mxm 3b socket. Live and learn I'll gues. There are models where it's possible, it's only never a good idea in terms of performance/dollar. The same goes for gaming laptops in general, really![]()
They definitely do on PC.Liuhu77, do you know if the 1.02 saves will work after patching the game to 1.03?
Check out widescreen gaming forum.org : http://www.wsgf.org/dr/witcher-3-wild-hunt/enIs there any way to configure the position of the HUD elements beyond 16:9 settings via ini files? It's a bit annoying that they are stuck at 16:9 aspect ratio positions:

Apparently it's enough to change UIHorizontalScale from 1 to 1.3 in the user.ini.Ultra-Widescreen (21:9) Specific Solution & Issues
"I've found a way to adjust the HUD beyond the 16:9 resolution:
In user.settings at Documents/The Witcher3 the uiVerticalFrameScale and uiHorizontalFrameScale can be modified. Make sure to set the file to read-only afterwards!
Here's the regular UIHorizontalScale 1 limit versus 1.3 set manually at 2560x1080:"

It's true, Radeons perform very well in this game (as long as you leave out Hairworks, or at least throw in some tweaks to make it more AMD-friendly). Especially the 285 is even faster than one would expect, the improvements in its newer iteration of the GCN µ-architecture pay off in comparison to its predecessor(s), the R9 280 and 280X.Not sure where to put this, so I'll just leave it here.
I wanted to say thank you to CDPR for good(imo) optimization. Before the game was out my main concern was how it's going to fare on AMD cards. As it turned out it works decently, even though my system is not top of the line(i5 4670k, r9 285, 8gb ram). The lowest fps I'm getting is 35 in Novigrad with a mix of high/ultra at 1080p, while I would've been content with having the same results on medium/low. At least that's what I expected after seeing the preliminary requirements. This result might not seem like much, but it's perfectly playable, because the game does not have random 10-20 fps drops and works smoothly. So thank you again guys.
