The Witcher 3: Wild Hunt Performance on Consoles

So much delay for better optimization, I just want to ask, will the console versions work stable 30fps, even on high detailed areas? Please CDP, make this game stable 30fps without any single (drops, hiccup, tearing, lag) it should be primary on optimization. I hate FPS drops coz it kills the mood always while playing great game like this. I hope we get a flawless build and I trust you with my heart CDP :)

I don't think that for a game like this,u will get constant 30 fps.
unless it is downgraded.

XBox One: 720p, 30 fps
PS4: 900p, 30 fps
PC: 4k Ultra HD, 60 fps

At least... that's the target right now <3

I'm thinking it'll be console parity at 900p @ mostly stable 30fps and can't really guess about the PC. I personally think it will play out similarly to assasins creed unity.Given the miscrosoft push and exposure Im not saying that the PS4 version would be downgraded, but that Getting the game up and optimized might have greater priority on the XBONE (also given that it is weaker hardware). Can't wait to find out :)

The goal is 1080p and at least 30fps on both consoles.
They had Xbone at 900p/30fps last E3 2014, I think they are still going for 1080p at 30fps for both Xbone/Ps4, and I hope it all works out.
I really want this game to look = Amazing on both consoles and play smooth, I hope it's solid, because I can't stand screen tearing at all etc..etc..
I hope 1080p looks best and that they can pull it off without hurting the fps, but if 900p is all they can do for now so be it.
it will still look good, just not as good and as crisp and easy on the eyes at 1080p.
Maybe they can pull it off later, and just give us all a free 1080p HD Texture pack.
That's what dragon's dogma did on cohsoles, it was no true 1080p but they did fix a lot of ugly textures with their free HD texture pack that came out months later.
Only Devs & QA test players, playing TW3 right now will know what looks best and what plays best.
I trust they will do this game justice in the end, well I hope. :)
PC, who knows, but I need to go lay down and rest this old spine of mine lol.. ;)

It's not "next-gen" anymore. It's current gen

Yeah, other than the Wii U these new consoles are a major disappointment. Thank god there is a PC version with the ability to go 1080p and 60 FPS.

I'm keeping my fingers crossed. I'm pretty certain CDPR will pull the most they can to deliver a best-to-date quality for console gamers, I want CDPR to focus on quality delivery on all platforms and not playing around with pointless and destructive marketing gimmicks.

The so called current generation consoles have been quite a setback but we trust CDPR to squeeze as much console juice as they can, however little it might be.

It's funny because console fanboys were so over themselves on how their new "next gen" consoles were going to match PC and all that.. lol

Then when assassin's creed came out, they couldn't even support 1080p.. hahaha

Yeah it is. It's been for every game now, why would it change for the witcher ?

Because consoles barely maintain 30fps at 900p (if they even can manage 900p) and 60fps on 4k requires a serious pc. Doubt most people can max TW3 out on 1080 at 60 fps (because what's the point of such a huge resolution when you have to lower all your setting to be able to play it at decent fps.)

And i'm sure CDPR can get TW3 to run on consoles better then other games from past year. But let's make it clear for people: on a console it's never going to be as pretty or as smooth then on a pc. They're just not powerfull enough.

True, true.
But even if Witcher 3 is big as hell, 720p on XONE wont happen. That would hurt their sales REALLY bad.
Also, this elitist thinking of some(a minority) is getting on my nerves.

Actualy I dont care 30fps, 60fps, 120fps even downgraded graphics for consoles. I just want that whatever the fps is, should be smooth every each corner. For an constant 30fps I can accept downgrades, I realy realy hate frame rate drops in a great games. I love 30fps much more than 60fps or higher, 30fps is more like cinematic movie feel and maches better on games, 60fps and higher rates is feels like everthing acts fast like pink premiere movies, and the risk is on 60fps mode games youll notice more if frame rate gets droped.

im solely console gamer but a game in 60fps is much better.
This cinematic thing is just an excuse honestly.
Also you wont really notice if the framerate drops from 60 to 55 whereas you will notice it heavily when a game drops from 30 to 25 fps.

I will play this game in a new PC, but if i have to play the game on consoles, i will be more worried for the controls than from the graphs in this kind of games.
I mean, for sure the target will be 30 fps with some low/mid graph options, but even in this way, The Witcher 3 will looks better than most of those "next gen" games AAA

hmm, i´m not, Controls are often fine on consoles.
CDPR once said that the console version will equal high graphic settings on a PC
