I'm about ready to cancel and wait. Gameworks, and me with an R9 290X doesn't seem like I['m in the right crowd anymore, maybe?

Finger on the cancel order button for the Collector's Edition, of course, I wouldn't do one of my favorite series without it. However, if this isn't going to work properly with my PC I will go ahead and wait till PS4 years from now when I can buy one (or NEVER). :)

You have a hell of a graphic card and, seriously, cdpred home platform is PC, and until now no game was ruined for amd users

All I was wanting to hear, I'm all over the net, I haven't been here ina while and the first thing I hear about this game is it's limiting things in Gameworks for non nvidia users already in news reports, so I need to know how serious this is. Thanks. :)

Do you realize how ridiculous this sounds? When has CDPR ever intentionally undermined the PC community? There would be no Witcher series without PC gamers, Nvidia and AMD owners. You don't have access to any of GameWorks' features. So what? The game is still going to be great regardless. Honestly, all this doom and gloom is really starting to get ridiculous. TW3 is more likely to run terribly on consoles than it will on PC with an AMD GPU.

Xbox 360 got nailed so much better than I ever imagined. I'd have to say I disagree. My concern is patching, Witcher 2 has been past 2.0 for some time, if this is not something to worry about in the 1.0 version what about later? I just want to know for certain, both usable GPU's aren't going to be left up to NVIDIA, ehem.

Does anyone here know if the box version of the game from, let's say amazon, has Steam support? Or the only way to get Steam achievements is to buy the Steam digital copy?
Cuz I want the box version really bad, but I want the Steam achievements as well :D

I can understand that but for now if you want the Steam achievements then Steam would be better for you . As far as I know there won`t be any Steam redemption for the boxed version .

If I'm not mistaken (but I'm not 100% sure) amazon.co.uk still has the 360 CE available. At least thats how it looked like after I checked. Did not see if they ship to argentina, or where your friend lives. 140 pounds is a hefty price though, but if this is of no matter to you, I'll suggest picking it up from there

I'm in the Philippines, and ordered via Amazon UK. They seem to ship to most countries, and their shipping charges seem very low.
The good news is that the price will probably be lower when ordered, as Amazon take off the UK tax if the order is placed from outside the EU. The bad news is that they may need to add local tax at the time of shipping, so it could work out less, or more, depending on the local tax situation.

PC Steam version. Been using Steam for 8 years and I love playing on it. Besides tons of great features - my favourite one is the tracking of how many hours you have put into the game. Will be interesting to see how much sucked I will be into W3 :D

I regret Pre-ordering Witcher 3 for steam

As the title explains i have some regrets about purchasing the witcher 3 for steam because then i wont get any of the cool collectors edition merch.

Should i refund it and buy something else for the steam refs, and am i able to get the discount for owning the previous games when purchasing physical copy even though i own them on steam?

Sorry if my english isn't top notch. :)

No, no discount on physical for owning previous games. Not sure how they would do that. Every physical edition has some neat stuff though

This is the standard physical copy in America anyway. Map, Manual, soundtrack CD, Stickers, Universe compendium.

Steam has DRM free games. If CDPR wanted to they could make all their games run without opening the steam client. You just could find the .exe and run it that way.

I suggest you make sure you can actually BUY the Collector's Edition before cancelling any existing order, it seems to be sold out in a lot of places.
