Dude. This is a GoG account. You have one.Hey, I have not read the whole thread because it's getting too long but wanted to ask a few things, related to retail purchases.
- How do people get support for this game if they choose not to register with GOG and use the key?
- How do they receive updates if they choose not to register with GOG and use the key?
- Is this marrying if GOG key to retail, not a form of DRM in itself? People may not want to register a GOG account and this seems to punish them
I know that but these are still valid questions that should be answered for others who bought the game via retail.Dude. This is a GoG account. You have one.
If you want support for a game, then you have to register somewhere. You can register on GOG.com, use your retail copy key there and all files (game files, patch files, DLC files,...) are there for you to download completely DRM free and install however you want.Hey, I have not read the whole thread because it's getting too long but wanted to ask a few things, related to retail purchases.

The following statement begs to differ:The GOG key just gives you a bunch files (including the game files itself) you can install over your retail copy of the game.
I used my retail code on gog.com and this is wat I see now:The following statement begs to differ:
Q: Will I be able to install updates and the free DLCs without using the GOG.com game code?
We decided to offer software support, DLCs, and extra goodies only to gamers who confirm their purchase with the provided game code on GOG.com. This is the only way for us to differentiate between you, honest gamers who bought our game, and pirates who snatched it from the Internet.
I'm fully on board with GOG, was just looking for clarification on this for retail buyers as it does seem like the game is being funneled through a GOG account for support and patches and this seems to go against the Freedom of Choice these guys are much loved for. Also, I am pretty sure XBONE and PS4 owners won't need a GOG account for support and DLC.
Q: Can I install and play the game without the GOG.com game code?
A: Yes you can install and play the game without the game code.
Q: Do I need to become a GOG.com user to play the game I just bought?
A: You can install and play the game without becoming a GOG.com user.
You should be able to download DLC and patches outwith GOG. Expecting support with an unregistered game is a different matter.I used my retail code on gog.com and this is wat I see now:

Like I said, just a bunch of files you can download and do whatever with it.
I don't know what you mean with Freedom of Choice. If you want support with patches and DLC for your retail copy, then yes, you must go through a GOG account. But you don't have to. But just don't expect support with patches and DLC then. I don't see a problem here. What would you want here?
You can set up the weaker card (660ti in Your case) as a dedicated PhysX card. But You wont see any performance gain in Witcher 3 as all the physics are handled by Your CPU as of now. And I doubt that it's going to change in the future updates. You can see some performance gain in other PhysX enabled games. For more info, You can read this article.hey. i was wondering if you could use two different graphics card at the same time (gtx980 and a gtx 660ti is this case). im not very tech savy, just curious if this could cause any problems
No release date on the patch yet. Staff said a week on the 30th so could be soon! I think the exact quote was 'a week or a week and a half even if we have to work through the weekend'.Was the PC patch 1.05 scheduled to be released to day?
