Marcin, why are you dressed like a gangsta in that video?![]()
Will there be gnomes in the game?
Does the horse have its own inventory?
Are there NPC monsters that you can talk to?
How much coffee do you drink each day at CD PROJEKT RED?
These are just some of the many questions you’ve recently asked us. We picked 20 - the list was long and we couldn’t answer everything, but rest assured, the following months will bring you a lot of new information about the game. Now, the time has come to bring you the answers! So sit back, relax, sip your favorite beverage, and enjoy our short QA session.
I thought that dev on GC understood that if poitions will refill automatically. I don´t recall the interview word by word now but if he meant that poitions are consumables(which they are) and forgot to say that you need to meditate to refill them then it is clear. Maybe that is why he answered how he answered. Looks like we will have to wait how it will turn out anyway.I'm not confused by the basics of the system . I know how it works if it auto-refills and I know how it works if it is in-fact as described in Kinley's interview.
However that's precisely the confusion, there's conflicting information. Not only did the RED that Kinley interviewed say they weren't auto-refilling, but he apparently also talked to a Dev off camera and they said the same thing. Then in this Q&A it makes it sound like it's still auto-refilling.
The only compromise I can see between the two and why they both might have said how they said it, was if when you meditate potions refill BUT it still requires a small amount of ingredients to refill (A mere portion of what was needed to create it).
However there's definitely conflicting statements being made. Hence, confusion.
He is THE gangsta. And the moustache - SWAGGITY SWAGMarcin, why are you dressed like a gangsta in that video?
;lol:
You haven't completely abandoned your dreams of a career in rap, have you?
DOing this means less play time per playthrough and I don't think it's essential. Pretty sure you can give different choices, outcomes, relationshipps while keeping the same core story. Also no branching?![]()
No problem! We're here for you guys:cheers:Dat community love! Thanks REDS!
I agree i do like that they did that.DOing this means less play time per playthrough and I don't think it's essential. Pretty sure you can give different choices, outcomes, relationshipps while keeping the same core story.
Version #2 by Tadek ZielińskiAbout the potion system - in a recent interview Konrad told us that the potions would auto-refill. Is this still the case?
Automatically filling? No, no. Those are definitely consumable items, and you brew them you drink them and they are very very important in terms of preparation before the fight.
(A bit more of a clarification here since I talked to another dev off camera. The potions/bomb system works like this: You get the recipe and it will cost a big amount of materials to craft, and you’ll get something like 3 charges of the swallow potion for example. When you run out, you will need materials to craft the potions again, but they will require only a fraction of the materials needed compared to when you first craft the bomb/potion.)
How is ingredient gathering for potions? Is it similar to how it was handled in previous games?
It’s very similar.
THE question a lot of us are wrecking their brains over once again (thanks for that) basically is:Could you please explain the potion-bomb refilling system and how it will affect combat difficulty?
So for the Witcher: Wild Hunt we created a completely new potion system.
First off, you have to find a crafting recipe or buy it, of course, in a shop. Then you have to gather ingredients and with those combined you create a Level 1 potion. That you can use in combat, unlike Witcher 2, in which you used potions only before combat during meditation. In Witcher 3 you will use them during combat and you will have several uses of each potion. Then you can refill them while meditating. And of course you can upgrade your potions as well. For that you need more ingredients, you basically have to gather some more ingredients and then the potion or the higher tier potion will have more strength, it will be more effective and it will affect Geralt in various ways.
While this might come from a practical need, I don't really like the magic refill... drink during combat is also not too much realistic but I think it's needed given the fact that you're in an open world and don't know what will actually happen. For sure it'll be way better than in Witcher 2 where you have to wait getting into meditation with the animation lag.I think they've made it very clear. Once You've made a certain potion there is no need to make it again, it will automatically get refilled during meditation.
Yep, they meant that, just like in witcher 2The "no branching"-thing sounds odd, considering that in previous interviews the devs have said that picking some quests will close off some others for the playthrough. Maybe they are trying to say here that there are no distinct areas that only certain choices could lead you to?
