Wait, when did that happen, I don't remember reading anything like that. As far as I remember, the whole Wild Hunt issue remained unresolved.

It was also strongly hinted that they
aim to destroy/enslave mankind.

Hinted, exactly. They subjugate humans in their own world. Didn`t extarminate them though.

SPOILERS for the books below:

Right... They killed a lot of them in the process, as indicated by Ciri finding that huge burial ground when she was running away - they basically did to humans what humans did to elves in Geralt's world.

But I don't remember this happening: "they did came in the end, took their elvish brothers with them and went away long after the Saga."

Not quite so. We do not know how but the elves are gone.
"-And what of Francesca Findabair’s image by an unknown elvish painter, hanging in the gallery in Vengerberg?
-A fake. When the Gate opened and the elves left, they took with them or destroyed all their works of art and left not a single image."

Oh ok, that makes sense if he was referring to that. Still, it does not mean the Wild Hunt can't keep invading before that event happens. And considering who their leader is, such actions wouldn't surprise me.

So one thing I've noticed, CDPR has made Geralt certainly look much more human and less mutant over the course of the games. No more slit eyes and face structure is much more "human". makes the "people fear him because he is a mutant" bit less believable

You're imagining things. The only thing they have done wrong is that his hair keeps getting darker for no good reason.

EDIT: Wow, I hadn't noticed the eyes but you're right about that. I'm sure it's just placeholder though. I fully expect them to put back his catlike eyes in the final version. Good catch.

Perhaps the invasion is only a prelude to the opening of the Gate. And Ciri is the key.

Guess we'll find out in The Witcher 3.

It is you who thinks in stereotypes. I just want the game to be as close to the Saga as possible. Whether you like it or not Saga is based on standard fantasy. I will write it again:read the books. It is precisly stated in the books that when wild hunt appears in northern reals they do such as their spectral emanations not in flesh. Conversly, when they do appear in flesh they are dercibed to look like a mid-heavy(partialy armoured if you don`tunderstand) cavalryman with a lances and bows.Having above in mind your arguments about concelment of identity are completly irrelavant.

How could you even imagine this jacked-up wild hunt guys from trailer be remotly close to what A.S. wrote? How could such a pile of metal ride a horse? String a bow? I repeat I just want the game to be as close to the Saga as possible. I do understand CDPR has their take on thing, they create art style suitable for their story but as a fan I am entilted to my own opinion.Moreso when I have the knowledge to give a proper argumentation.

BELOW YOU WILL FIND A VALID POINT PLS READ THIS!
If we presume, that CDPR want to be serious about the game they create they need to come up with something better than LotR Saurons` armour copy. I am sorry but it is a FACT. Armour of the wild hunt looks VERY alike LoTR ones. Do you disagree they`re strangely similar?

Hey, let's wait for the final game and discuss it after several playthroughs. It's the same as with Novigrad. They showed it from one side and hate started, that it's too small. Now they did it from another angle and everyone says it't beautiful and huge... Do you see my point?

I noticed the eye as well. Strange...but aren't his eyes supposed to be cat-like only in the dark? (I'm not sure.)

On a serious note it's been sort of bothering me too. They called him a freak and what not in TW2 but it didn't really...make sense other than the eyes.

Yeah, they definitely need to make his hair and beard absolutely white. As sidspyker correctly pointed, people called Geralt "freak" for a reason. Now he's looking too normal... also his jaw changed shape quite significantly and his nose is also different in comparison to the first game.

Hmm. That's really odd.

The older(and popular) screenshot has slit eyes

  • We saw a little bit of the gameplay again, but it's hard to say much about it, if Geralt kills everything with 1 hit. It looks flawless, but it kinda worries me that everything dies with 1 hit.
  • And finally we didn't get any new information about the story.

It's not going to be one hit, one kill - don't worry:) Please note that the sequence shown in the trailer gives us a glimpse at a fight that's already ongoing. Geralt happens to be finishing off the first enemy but you don't see him killing the second one with one blow. Same goes for the fight shown shortly after that.

There's still time to put emphasis on the story in our promo materials, so just be patient:)
