The Witcher 3: Wild Hunt

Hello everyone,

I'm new to the Witcher 3: Wild Hunt game, and I would greatly appreciate
any feedback/ suggestions you can provide me regarding my questions
with its gameplay.

In the game, how will I know what kind of armor, spell, or items I would need
in order to fight the various villains and monsters that come out in day and night?
Will I be informed in the game what I need to do in order to fight the villains
and monsters? How will I know what gear, weapons, or spells I need to use
to successfully fight them instead of dying multiple times while fighting?

Thank you in advance for answering my concerns and questions.
I greatly appreciate it!

Sincerely,
Kaushal

Hi,

Simple answer: Bestiary!

When you take on contract to kill something bigger then usuall, you have to options.. just go on and fight the creature if you know where it is of course. Or talk to local people and ask, what do they know about the beast you are trying to kill. They will reveal you most of the information e.g it only comes out when its dark in one area of the forest, or rumor has it this creature is scared of fire. Your Bestiary will update and note all these information so you can read what you've learned about every monster you encounter or learn about.
