I get chills at that very point in the trailer. Geralt turning his head noticing the approaching leaders of the pack.

I think the Leshen has pet wolves it uses..

Love TW2, but some details could use improvement.
For example, they way overused the Poltergeist voice effect. Perhaps TW3 could vary a bit more.

That thing is always overused everywhere. I find it a bit unimaginative, so let's hope for more variation together.:cheers2:

(Knowing absolutely nothing about TW3 features and development thus far...)

My only wish (more like hope, really) at the moment is to see plenty more monster-slaying quests and a bit more focus on monsters. I just started playing through The Witcher 2 again, and don't really like that while Geralt is a supposedly-legendary monster-slayer for hire, monsters so far seem to be more of a sideshow than anything. Most of the monster-slaying so far feels like it has just been to simply get them out of the way to continue his mission. But being an open-world game, I expect to see a lot of monsters needing to be put down. More focus on Geralt of Rivia actually being a Witcher, hunting and slaying all manner of monster, not some kind of sellsword slaved to the b.s. of local politics.

And with monsters, we need a proper bestiary. Along with his Silver Sword, the Bestiary is surely one of the most important tools of a witcher's trade and most important object in his life, aging and growing wiser as he does throughout his life. It has to be more than a short paragraph about a monster. It should be detailed with everything that's known about a monster, with famous accounts of slayings or attacks, known effective ways of killing them, details of famous monster-slayers, common myths (and the myth-countering facts), creature illustrations, etc, that is added to when you read books and learn more about them... The same goes for a journal with people and locations, items, etc...

I would love to see combat and movement change depending on what you're wearing and wielding. Moving slower when heavily armoured, and quick and agile if lightly (or not at all) armoured. Different speed and technique when using a short sword or a long sword.

Oh, and the ability to use signs on the environment would be cool. Engulfing enemies in forest fires, sand storms, etc...

And finally, I wish/hope for no useless group/party of 'friends' hanging around in the local pub like a bad smell. There's nothing I hate more than having npc characters forced onto the player. And having said that, please pitch Triss off a cliff. Thanks.

Well lucky for you devs boast a number of over 80 types of monsters in the game. And more of a focus on Geralt's profession, that of a monster hunter.

And as far as I know you will be able to set things on fire with Igni, including trees and fields. But to what extent we do not know.

Totally disagree with you on this one. I love these types of quests (Shani's party in W1, the pub "hang out" in W2) not only are they usually great ways for the player to learn more about Geralt and his "hansa", but are also a good downtime mechanic, a "breather" if you will, after some hours of slaying (it especially fits quite nice after the explosive prologue that W2 has).

@TheGayWitcher Don't forget this game is based on a series of books, and they need to keep the characters, well in character for the most part. It's true he is a monster slayer but he has other priorities right now.

Also this is an RPG with action elements, not an action game with RPG elements. So your essentially trying to stop the tides with asking for less of the "friends hanging in the local pub like a bad smell". Everyone else around here wants that stuff.

They've stated there's less 'politics' and more beast slaying this time round. There is a detailed bestiary that updates as you learn more about your enemy through the Witcher senses when investigating.

realtime combat, kaer morhen rebuild option (as if like rebuilding monteriggioni in ac2 assassins creed). more realistic and paler necrophages compared to the colourful wraiths of tw1, more realistic looking swords(unlike that sawtooth rubbish shown in the trailer), showing other witchers(vesmir eskel koen) at various parts of the game. a safe house for geralt, projectile weapons,

I would really like "roleplaying animations" like gothic or Risen, where you interact with the world and items in the world. Like you can eat, sit on chairs and benches, sit on the ground, it adds to immersion

Of those, a "safe house" for Geralt is the only one that raises a strong objection in my mind. Geralt is a pariah, not so much a White Wolf as a stray dog. There is nowhere in his world that he is safe or would not overstay his welcome all too quickly. It is important to preserve this sense of being a perpetual outsider.

I went to this house
And I knocked on the door,
The lady says "Scram, bum,
You've been here before!"

Hallelujah, I'm a bum.

Definitely. That said, I wouldn't mind if they brought back renting rooms at inns and such from TW1, but made it an actual room instead of just a carpet in front a fireplace.

I love the witcher I . And i wish i will be perfect some day. I think the witcher will be perfect RPG of all time some day.

I have 3 idea, i wish that the developer may review.
1. learn the best idea form another game ( just like Blizzard Entertainment do with Star Craft )
2. The witcher combat system a very good now. but i wonder if any Developer of this game play Yakuza ( Japanese game) / in that game the combat is very funny, very interesting. it has a lot of combo , a lot of cut screen combat, That witcher has it too, but not much, only while fighting with boss you can see cut screen, i think combo sword fight should have at every combat. That make people spent a lot of time to increase, unlock more combo, more beautiful sword skill ( with cut screen) that make game o lot more interesting. that make player fell more "Witcher" . not only see Geralt fight on cinematic video, but also do that at every combat, is very interesting

Yakuza
http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=WB9mt9ukitg
https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=95CfqHFaY38

I wish i can do like this in Witcher 3 , not oly see on video
https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=c0i88t0Kacs&feature=kp

3. Have you ever play Final fantasy 7 - Final fantasy 8 - In that game. you could complete game very easy without fighting non-story line boss, but alot of people replay game , try to have a lot of rare item only to kill those boss( the ultimate boss, or the impossible to win boss). i think the withcer should have rare or secret item. secret boss...for those who want to fight. it make the game have replay value.
I remember in Withcer 1 , i had been in swam for 3 day, killing cockatrice, to have experience to kill Wyvern.

Every body love dragon, every want to fight something big and powerful like dragon, please,,, we want more secrecy boss

Hi everyone,
Let me first start by saying i'm a great fan of CDPR, but not so much of The Witcher series in general. Sure i love games, they are fantastic, but i haven't read any of the books yet (although, i have ordered some trough amazon, so that should be corrected soon). Why i mention this is because some of my ideas my not fit in the Witcher lore, and i expect you guys (and hopefully girls:)) will point that out to me. I will divide these ideas in two groups, so lets get to typing.

INGLE PLAYER:
1. No experience limitations, and by that i mean, i don't wan't to feel the need to be ultra good just so i would gain some extra experience. For instance, i don't want situations where if i refuse monetary reward, i get more exp. Good, bad or middle choices should all net same exp, and extra rewards for choices should be in items/money or favorability.
2. Consequences of romance option, if i indulge in pleasures of hookers, why would say, Triss want to have happy time with me, she is premium after all:)
3. Visual changes on armor when being damaged, or when you take potions. Damage to body parts, not health in general, that have effects, like, can't do light speedy attack if your arm is hurt

MULTIPLAYER:
As an expansion of the game, i would like to see coop game, set in the same world about 2 witchers trying to either find someone, rebuild their school, or just are roaming around, killing monsters. The story would be far less epic in terms of saving the world, but if written nicely, it could be funny, less serious take on the witcher lore but with coop gameplay and serious monster ass kicking. It would be cool if during that story we would perhaps come across some familiar faces, maybe even Geralt itself. And that expansion could also have horde mode (someone already mentioned this). I agree that core W3 game should be only SP but this could really be cool, fantastic open world, and a buddy to explore it.

Not much, but i would like to hear your feedback, and of course, i would like to see these things implemented in game

Choices have consequences, the entire core of the game(and life).

Yes, consequences, but if you put exp as a additional reward, i feel obligated to follow that path. If it is items, respect, money, anything else, that i can wage and decide what i want to do. I'm not for NO difference, just leave exp awards uniform across choices, or balanced with dificulty

Nah I think he means that we shouldn't get exp for one specific quest decision or playing style. I remember Deus Ex:HR
'forced' you to play stealthy by just double up the exp for playing stealthy and not kill the foes.
But I don't think this will be a problem. As there was never really a hint that your decisions were good or bad, and for the bad ones you get less exp.

The difference is that if TW3 is done right and how its supposed to be, there are no good bad or middle choices, just choices and their consequences, whichare often secret and/or delayed so you cant judge early what you want to happen and thus, what you want to gain.

That's why i think @Bishop_v9 's number 1 point for single-player recommendations, is a good one, but for other types of RPGs that are more traditional. In TW there's no "but if you put exp as a additional reward, i feel obligated to follow that path" because the path is never clear and/or concrete, its all varied and flexible, different contextual situations and etc. The path doesn't exists, the choices aren't grouped together by being either good, or bad.

Now what could indeed happen, is that RED group choices by other means, like main story quests vs side quests, but I don't know enough about the game's balance to tell if making one group or path more "profitable" than the other would be correct or not. Will have to wait and see.

@Dystopia90 you make a good point while bringing up Deus Ex HR, because that game encouraged to be stealthy, cause its Deus Ex, and CDPRED could totally encourage us in the same way, but to do different things, like giving more exp or rewards for playing "more" like a "witcher", whatever that means to the devs, or more exp to fight and rewards to track monsters and investigate properly instead of going to fight them with anything and no info. I think they will definitely use some of these techniques in order to direct the gameplay a bit.

Love this!! Now that is something that would really groundbreaking imo, a monster damages your leg so now you cant move so fast, it would be another strategical element in combat. And I really hope they made potions have a visible effect on Geralt, like in the books(which you are going to see are really awesome)

They actually did it in the 52 and a half trailer for TW2 3:53

That's exactly what I was thinking on the matter..Even still if they manage to incorporate alchemy and potion preparations before certain fights much like they did on the Kayran fight on tw2 that would be even better.I can't really remember a monster fight in the books that Geralt didn't drink a mixture of potions and for me that's the one thing that is "missing" from the games.I mean the preparing before fights part. I can understand that it is quite difficult to incorporate that without boring some gamers, however if they make it like an optional objective to a monster hunting mission (that would offer more exp and such) that would be really cool in my opinion.
