Don't you discuss your choices with friends and other people online? That's the point of it too.You get to know how the majority reacted to a difficult moral situation, damn that's like doing a research on the morals of society, much like the famous Milgram experiment. It's that interesting.

I do discuss it with friend but when I do I don't just ask them what they picked and leave it at that. We discuss about the why behind a choice, that's the interesting conversation, hear people rationalize their choice. Knowing that X% of people agreed with me and 100-X% didn't doesn't really do anything for me,

Well, The Witcher 3 has more optional threads than previous installments. Still, if you just want to finish the game some events are obligatory. The main path is a mix of all mentioned. We have romantic dramas, politics, fantasy, realism, chicks (we also have Richards to rhyme) and the world itself (no Mary Sue, though). It's more like TW1 - you finish an act, to begin something new, with new themes. But without acts structure, everything is (almost) open.

However there are these optional quests (or quest chains). If you liked something from the main menu (he he), you just pick optional quests about it and continue the story.

According to your preferences, you gonna like some Skelligean and Novigradian płots. We'll see. :)

In Polish "płot” means a fence. I was thinking too much about TW1. ;)
Forgive my English, it's hardly perfect, but I hope debugging my posts is worth it. :)

Absolutely. I've been asking to see commentary from the writers in the forum for years. It's much appreciated.

All hail the Blacha!

First of all I have to say that I'm really happy to receive an answer from an "old-team" member and a respectful person. Thank you in any case for paying attention to the post, Mr.Blacha. That really fires up a hope in the old witcher fandom not to be "forgotten" completely.

Cirilla as a character is MarySue in any case and the promo I see as an old witcher-world-fan makes me and my friends fear that the world of men turns into the world of women - too feminised promo. And it's understandable promo-wise as long as you (CDPR) try to capture the new audience with POP-methods.
But please give at least something to the other part of the fandom. Who want something more than cosplay:crazy: , Ciri and monster hunt.
We also hope to hear something more from you and Mr.Pugacz-Muraszkiewicz in the nearest interviews.

Can the Foltest's children's fate plot (not the 5 sec mentioning) at least be confirmed?..:hope:

Thanks again and good luck!
Witcher 3 will be the greatest RPG no matter what in any case.

PS didn't get this part though: "(we also have Richards to rhyme)"

Speak for yourself, one of the "old witcher fandom" here and I definitely like where TW3 is going, neither do I feel forgotten nor do I want more politics in TW3. How can I call myself one of the the "old witcher fandom" if I want it more to be like TW2 instead of 1. There's nothing "old" about it.

(Not that I'm implying TW2 is bad or worse or any such sort)

A more complex monster hunting mechanic is something I wanted since TW1 and was so absent in TW2, at certain times I started questioning Geralt's profession. Taking a step back from politics (not completely of course, as indicative of countless interviews) is a good move for Witcher 3, in my opinion.

Witcher 3 is shaping up to be a perfect Witcher game and I can't wait to get my grubby hands on it.

As for Ciri's "promo", we hardly saw her in anything as of now, just figments of this and that, didn't even hear her speak yet. I'd definitely wait for more before casting my final judgement on how CDPR is hadling her or any other female character for that matter.

Hehe))

There's always that Sapkowski's world dualism :)
As long as his novels are post-modernism - it appeals more closely to the historic novel rather than to the fantasy.
But nevertheless there's a huge amount of WitcherFans who don't bother - fantasy is fantasy :)
Which is kinda wrong and rather hurts ppl who study pan Andrzej's books at the University and go deeper than just a Geralts roamings.

TW1 was full of Geralt.
TW2 was full of the world.
And many disliked that fact - I know.

Thank you, kind sir, I do speak for myself and for the community which doesn't know English that good - is that a crime already? Didn't know it - sorry :)
By the "old witcher fandom" I meant BOOKS first of all. Not the games are the start of the story - right?
And in the novels and in the world pan Andrzej created so neat and so alive - everyone is free to chose the aspect he\she prefers.

To sum up:
I like both games: TW1 and TW2 but it would've been wrong - don't you think - to put everyone up to something "linear-minded".
There are ppl who like the fantasy aspect. There are others who like the realism aspect.
What's bad in that?
And why can't I ask something for the other part? Is it restricted?
Two sides of a coin? huh?
