1. Better facial animation, I found a lot of the facial animation to be vary bad or none existent most of the characters have the same facial expression no matter what the context. All characters should have more then one or 2 facial expressions in-less there someone you talk to one or 2 times. I want Garelt to look like he did in the 52 and a half video when he drinks potions

2. Better combat, less rolling and use of quen more responsive sings the ability to have more then one sing equipped. Better footwork and swordsmanship that has a nice flow a better counter attack system, sidestep backpedal, grabs, disarm. No in fight QTE's not talking about the ones from the karayn/dragon fights they didn’t bother me so much but the ones when you stun a guy and camera changes are horrid. Dismemberment heads rolling ect.

3. Horses! Slightly larger area's with horses for traveling a bit faster even if theirs just a few spots
what ever happened to Garelts horse roach from the books?

4. potions that last longer or at least don’t count down when your in a lengthy conversation with the opponent your about to slay. But I think just making them last longer will do the trick 30 minuets instead of 10 and 1 hour with points spent in talents this eliminates the need for excessive farming like your in a MMO I don’t play RPGs to get MMO game play same gos for the crafting in dark mode it was just excessive amounts of farming needed to get things.

5. The ability to zoom the camera out even if its just a bit, or 3 different settings. no need for isometric or anything but I did find it to be slightly to close.

6. A better sneak stealth system.

7. being able to change key bindings in game set multiple keys to one function. I have a lot of buttons on my mouse I want to be able to map them in game please.

8. Better menus and user-interface. I found them to be frustrating.

9. Starting the game at a higher level and raising the level cap to around 50. I think most of us can agree that starting as noob Garelt was painful, in the witcher 2. just give us a few points to spend at the start or have the training points already spent or something.

10. More organized saves.

11. Not having to steal from every persons house. There should be a penalty for stealing not rewards. Stealing from someone should be for a reason your trying to get information and they should be out of them room or they busted you in the act. Your a Witcher not a thug you should act accordingly

I dont know if this was mentioned (not gonna try read all the thread throughout :p/>), but thinking about minigames, and how to make them stand out more and more immersive, I think that the usual fist-fight was greatly improved by adding the special quest in Flotsam...

They could add tournaments (smthg like the quest in Henselt's camp), but as a mini-game: For example, in each city of certain size, every 7 days or smthg a tournament will be summoned and you can apply for it, in order to gain XP. You even can get a variety of enemies, like in the Arena (nothing TOO crazy, from bums and mercenaries, to seasoned warriors, knights and sorcerors).

Eh, I typed a big list only to delete it all when I realized a lot of people expressed them already and one slightly difficult and/or hard to get used to ui/inventory system or even combat will not prevent me from buying TW3 anyway. There's only one thing that will make me do just that: the story.

Now when it comes to the story in general, in CDPR I trust. So far so good. Amazing even. They already showed how good they are at writing a mystical world that still felt "real", they already showed how very good they are at writing politics so grey with fantastic personalities. So I have no doubts they'll deliver just as well, if not even better. But. Romance? In CDPR I definitely do NOT trust. Well, TW2 is not TW1 where I could ignore it if I felt like it. Enter Yennefer and it's now a big part of the story. Seeing what they did in TW2, I really wish it was not. Now I'm not sure why CDPR did this; why their game makes me feel like I'm being trolled by them, forcing Triss down my throat. If it's because they're hardcore Triss shippers or because they want to declare their "artistic liberty" from the books while I desperately want to see them as a whole big universe? Or whatever. I just know it leaves a very bad taste in my mouth and alienates me from the character I'm playing by making me respect him less whom otherwise, I LOVE to roleplay as. I swear the cards were a thousand times better, at least they were just trololol rather than TW2's... troll.

What I wish for TW3? Something amazing to make up for (no, reverse) this mess. Something I can't imagine because obviously I'm not a writer. Something to show me they did not just make Triss equal to Yennefer just to have a catfight or "choice" to stroke players' egos or for speculations I mentioned above. Oooorr... drop it altogether if this is all they can come up with. Pull a Shani, spare both Yennefer and Triss from this terrible fate by making Triss disappear and killing Yennefer all over again before we even meet her. Yup. I would even prefer that.

So sad to think you found the love games of your life only to find them nigh unplayable because of one aspect of a big story. On one hand, apparently I'm very emotionally invested in the story now. On the other hand, seeing how many Triss fans they created, I don't think this kind of negative investment was what CDPR was going for.

One thing that needs to change for immersion purposes. Prostitutes needs to be better looking. In TW1 all of the prostitutes were attractive (especially Carmen ;)). In TW2 they were all pretty bad looking. That needs to change again.

At least dress them properly. They're wearing men's breeks in the game, fercryinoutloud. IRL, prostitutes of this era were a class of women with independent incomes; they could afford tailored clothes and dressed fashionably and well. (Typically, a city would require them to wear a distinctive article of clothing such as a yellow sash so they would not be confused with "respectable" women.)

Horses!

Doubt it will happen, since they earlier stated it costs too much, but here's for hoping!

they already have horses they can reuse from the 52 and a half video. I don't see it being that hard to add one or 2 more walk cycles to them.
there is also horses at the end of the TW2 show at full gallop and walking there's no reason they cant reuse the
walk cycles. They have half of it already, they can make it so we only use them for part of the game if its a terrain issue

True, but I meant more in a gameplay point of view. It would make it easier to travel if the game will be open world. Not that there are other ways to travel.

I didnt find them "unproperly" designed, not at all, quite the contrary.
I think it's clear CDP made efforts to have more models and concentrated on detail. In Witcher basically you have ONE model (Carmen) and that same model was cloned all over the place, with a dress in different color, that was it.

Maybe the prostitutes' clothes in Witcher 2 make a point about their background, which I think is preeetty miserable and poor. The first you see work in Flotsam, which is a 10 houses hamlet, forgotten in the middle of nowhere. THen you see another bunch in chapter 2, which are basically "camp followers", it's no secret why they dont wear fancy clothes... We are not talking about the elegant brothel in Vizima, here. Just MO.

One thing I do dislike with prostitutes in Witcher 2 is how they all seem to share the same body model, now I'd be fine if they didn't have gigantic breasts you could lose your dog in on display.

But body models as well as faces are certainly things CDPR needs to improve.

Sure, prostitutes in a jerkwater town like Flotsam would be barely getting by and not be wearing the latest Trade Quarter fashions. But I made my objection to the point that they're wearing men's clothes, and IRL this was not an era when cross-dressing was tolerated. They've gone to such care in dressing the other characters that the prostitutes in breeks just stick out.

Now I get having more diverse models, but why is everyone saying faces? I thought the facial animation was great, save for the eyes. Lip-synching can be overdone, you know, and it contributes to a less than intimate conversation because they're flapping their gums so hard. All they need to do is make brows fluctuate (to state it in the mst basic sense) and the expressions will be rock solid!

Playing through it the last time I was quite impressed with the amount of facial animations they'd added.

I am not talking about animations, I am talking about reused faces from character to character.

I loved the face and some body animations in TW2. That subtle eyes downwards "I'm considering what you just said" one was just great. As was the slow blinking while listening. Made Geralt look such a kind gentle soul ^^ That little hand gesture almost every character made while explaining something and I don't know how to explain it but the one where they moved their shoulders a little. I first noticed Loredo doing this and even though I'm sure some others also did that later, it stood out as his characteristic to me. I wish some more important NPCs had personalised animations like this. It would be costly though. This is what a lot of video games lack, no subtle yet still memorable character animations. TW2 was good in this department.

Which reminds me; elf men were distinctive enough but women just looked like humans with pointy ears. Nothing special about them. Oh and with TW2 Geralt face, I thought CDPR found the perfect model. And Mr. Cockle still being the voice, completing this perfection.

I agree with Costin about the reused faces though.
