hey guys i just watched the "interview developing the witcher3 and i noticed the devs say that they check forums a lot for fan imput. Can the MODERATORS create a thread where we can come up with suggestiones, new features and the like we want the new game to have stick it to the top of the list and urge/ask everyone to vote for the best suggestiones, make a pol or something where we can select what we like AND A SECOND THREAD also made by moderators adrested to the CDProjectRED team with the results of our pol TOP 10 ideas. This way we make it easier for them instead of searching hundreads of pages.

My biggest wish feature is to replase the text showen in beasteary books and the simple level sistem in monster knowlege with an in game cutscene of Geralt narating the information in the books/ doing an authopsy of the monster slayn and speaking what he finds out:it should start with general info=there legend, there weakness/ ways to take them down faster and uses of various monster components obtained from them. It would be greate to have one for each subspecies like for drowners and one for drowned dead. this cutscene should apear just the first time you skin the monster so it doesn't become anoying.

Do you think the combat will be more like TW1 or TW2?

More like TW2, but improved.

I hope they implement TW1 style combat as well. I'd like it to be mix of TW1 and TW2, maybe heavy attack mixed with group style or something like that.

- Combat system: three big changes to solve the problem of being locked into long animations
- Every button press mapped to a single strike
- Each move takes a roughly equivalent time to perform
- Can always interrupt your current action to immediately dodge or block
- Can block/dodge when out of stamina, but you’ll be staggered
- Team wants to make the combat “more intimate”
- “You don’t run – in the Witcher 2 you were running constantly. You walk, but your attacks are very fast. Your opponents also walk but they have charges and things like that.”
- Geralt’s dodge roll replaced by a pivot move
- It retains its defensive utility without game-breaking mobility
- Attacks faster than in The Witcher 2
- Enemy AI completely rebuilt

That's all we know right now.

I wonder what everyone's thoughts are on playing flashbacks.

As Geralt will have his full memory in the third installment, I wonder if this could be introduced through a quest line.

Game begins, Geralt travels to first destination, and following quest commences.

'Reliving The Past'
- You play past key moments or battles. The look of the world changes slightly, the characters look a little younger, Yennefer and Geralt look very much in love, Letho an ally etc. You see, experience and fear the enemies of the past.

I wonder if this could be the prologue, where you learn your skills and learn the backstory.

I mentioned that in another thread today, it would be the perfect opportunity to show non-readers of the books who Yennefer really is and why Geralt is looking for her.

Interesting concept. Now I think about it I wonder if they could also implement a flash forward. Yennefer is killed, or Triss is killed, or Geralt is killed, and the choices you make throughout the game point to one of these events happening.

So the choice you make between Triss or Yennefer is not at the end of the game, but influences how you play much of it.

My wishlist for W3:

- let Geralt and his friends get happy resolutions, but make us work for it by not making the solutions obvious.
- make combat challenging and not methodical- add some entropy or chaos into the formula.
- please don't make the game aesthetics or controls as too much of a PC game that cannot be played with a controller or on a TV.

Haven't read the books and downloading Witcher 1 as I type, loved Witcher 2 and think it's one of the best RPGs I've ever played.

I have read that Kaer Morhen currently is a ruin the the witchers return to during the winter. I would really like if Geralt could rebuild it over time when he gets enough money. I know witchers are constantly on the move, but Letho was working for Nilfgard simply to rebuild the school of the Viper, maybe Geralt could decide that he too wants rebuild the school of the Wolf. It wouldn't happen all at once, he would have to spend an ungodly amount of orens to rebuild even a small part that you could choose and unlike Assassin's Creed II, it wouldn't be instant so it would be something that you'd have to do throughout the game. With the quest you'd have mini-quests like finding teaching tools and old books. Then once it's built, it would be attacked and Geralt and company would be the only ones trying to defend it. It wouldn't be central plot line but it would have an affect on the ending on whether witchers in the North start fading from existence or start to make a comeback.

alright ... drowned in page 33 but anyway ...

what I'd like the game to be and have:

- darker than 2, I preferred 1 from that aspect
- way more difficult than either 1 or especially 2, don't be afraid of making it difficult
- more dependent on alchemy and magic (TW2 you could play on highest difficulty not using a single bomb and almost no potions except for cateye and only quen and be perfectly fine)
- alchemy / monster knowledge to be more like tw1 (I liked the books a lot, and also how you could get them ... quests, peddlers, odd hags begging in the street ... and having to learn it before being able to effectively fight, echinopsae come to mind)
- more of the traditional (eastern-)european monster lore as in tw1 (strigas, brujas, you know what I mean ... I'd love a game with the baba yaga but then again only the hellboy comics pulled that off in a good way)
- keep the politics angle! (as confirmed by redorigen)
- don't tone-down foul language, sex, alcohol etc (not trying to be juvenile here, but we have enough my little pony RPG games as it is)
- keep poker and fist fighting! but the poker opponents in tw2 were penny-pinchers really
- make it longer if you can, but not at the cost of content/depth, only if you can
- tw2 had a lack of babichkas compared to tw1 :)/>/>/>
- did I mention to make it more difficult?
- even more variety for npc designs! (tw1 was honestly terrible there)

as you can see, less about mechanics, more about content :)/>/>/>

Well i sure hope CDproject guys actually read the forums. Here goes.

1. Use more than one walk/run animations, record 3 slight different and randomize them in game for immersion.
2. Give Geralt a proper counter attack (sorry but TW2 counter kinda sucked)
3. Real time finishers.
4. Proper dismemberment(heads, hands, feet, etc). Blade of Darkness like.
5. Wounds.
6. More evade animations like the 1st withcer.

Good luck with the game, stay loyal to your fans and be sure you got a 1st day preorder from me and my 2 bros.

The most important thing, and I imagine if I read through all 33 pages, it's been said more than once, is the ability to jump. I cannot stand running down jagged staircases when I could just jump to the bottom in most games. Though I imagine if they are making it more open ended like Skyrim then jumping will be an automatic addition.

Hold it right there man. Don't make The Witcher 3: Wild Hunt aesthetics or controls as too much of a PC game that cannot be played with a controller? I am sorry but I am a PC gamer and I want CD Projekt RED to develop The Witcher 3: Wild Hunt for PC first with PC user interface (UI) and controls first then port it to consoles with console user interface (UI) and controller support. Quite frankly I don't even think The Witcher 3: Wild Hunt should even exist for consoles only for PC because consoles will always have limitations and never be able to achieve everything that the PC can achieve in graphical fidelity, size like how they said The Witcher 3: Wild Hunt will be 20% or 30% bigger than The Elder Scrolls V: Skyrim. I don't care if The Witcher 3: Wild Hunt comes to the new consoles coming out but I want it to be developed for PC first.

There is a whole population of gamers who play PC games on their TV, that's a possibility now. Witcher 2 plays so nicely with a controller and on the TV, so it would be great to get the same sort of playability from Witcher 3.

I am currently trying to play Witcher 1, but I play it using KM and monitor, and I hate the experience. I still appreciate the story and dialogue, but the combat mechanics, graphics, and various control UI prevent me from continuing with the game. That's why I sincerely hope Witcher 3 will not be like Witcher 1.

I know this forum is dominated by PC gamers and hard core fans, but most of the gaming population is going to be neglected if this next game is exclusively tailored for PC gaming.

This is my opinion only. I'll add more to it if I think of any. The big things I want in The Witcher 3 are:

1. Property: The ability to buy, own, and manage property. Stores, houses, maybe even a whole city or village. The arguments I've seen against this say that Geralt is a nomad. That is very true. However in the games, Geralt is what you make him. If you want him to help people, that's your choice. If you want him to wander from town to town, inn to inn, you can do that. You should also be allowed to buy and own property. Because it's a choice that some players will want to make.

2. Auto-saving: I don't know if other people have a problem with this but, the auto saving was a big hassle in The Witcher 2. I didn't mind that it saved the game constantly, that part was useful. However the game didn't overwrite previous auto save files. I had thousands of save files that I didn't want or need. Please cap it at 3 or four. And allow players to label each manually saved file. For example, "Playthrough 1" or "asdfjkl;" or what ever the player wants to name it.

3. Inventory: The Witcher 1 had a tiny inventory that made carrying things difficult. The Witcher 2 had a large inventory that was difficult to navigate. I like a large inventory that's easy to navigate. Making it a slot inventory with thumbnails for the items would be good. But get rid of the weight limit, it was really annoying. I would like a stash to place things and the ability to obtain more space to stash my stuff. For example: purchasable chests, boxes, or even a storage house.

4. Platforming: Not really important to the game, but I think free climbing and jumping around/on a mountain or abandoned castle would be really cool and add a new dynamic to the game. The idea of puzzle solving would be an incredible addition to the game as well.

5. Mercenaries: Hired help would be a welcome addition, in my opinion. Different mercenaries have different skills. You could hire an archer to cover you while you hunt small fries, a beefy guy to help out against a troll, or if you're not confident enough going into a dungeon, bring along a hired mage.

6. Multiplayer: I'd support it as long as you could create and design your own witcher or other class of character. Gender, face, clothes, weapons, race, everything. There could be different modes and maps even. Just fighting with swords and magic instead of guns and bombs. Also multiplayer must not take away from the main game, at all. So I'd like ask that, if CDPR considers it, release multiplayer after the main game has been released. Like you did for the Witcher 2's arena system. That way the main game is complete and up to snuff and you can work on other things at your own pace.

7. Mounts: Being able to buy a horse for combat or a mule for a traveling inventory would be immensely helpful. In open areas a horse is a needed advantage and when traveling on the road a donkey would be good for carrying the less important items.

8. In-game options: Managing graphics, sound, and gameplay options would be a lot easier in one of the in-game menus instead of the the start up window.

9. Large cities: If the game is going to be open world, as it says in the article in game informer, then there should be large, beautiful environments. Big cities full of people and venues; large plains and forests. They need to be almost fully interactive though, otherwise what's the point?

10. Environment: Add some more darkness and horror to it. A low growl in the background or wind shaking the trees. It will give the game some more life and keep the players on their toes. Also let Geralt explore the world. Let him sight see, visit places in the books, run into old friends, foes, and places. Kaer Morhen is a must.

11. Quests: The quests are great. I'd like more of them though and I'd like them to be more open ended. Also the quest tracker needs a lot of work.

12. Ending: Once you beat the game don't end the game there. If Geralt has finished the main quest let him continue to have fun and roam around the world. Also, please provide at least one happy ending.

13. Sequals: I hope this is not the last game. The series is just so good and so well done. It would be a shame to end it here. Not when they can take so many different routes in the story.

14. Internet: Please don't make the game require an internet connection to play. Some fans don't have access to a constant internet connection and would like to play but can't because of that.

15. Buying/Selling: Offer a description of what Geralt might buy so he doesn't waste money on something useless. Add in a barter system so he might get a better price for an old sword he's selling.

That's already confirmed. Geralt won't be rolling in TW anymore but he uses a pivot move like in the first witcher.

Well, I actually prefer that to what we currently have. However, that's not more moves. It's replacing one move with another.
