I've got just 1 wish: don't make it sexist. Please Devs.... I've enough of games blinking to only male customers.
I understand this a sensitive topic so I'll address it carefully.secondchildren said:I've got just 1 wish: don't make it sexist. Please Devs.... I've enough of games blinking to only male customers.
Personally I hope the don't tone it down one bit.secondchildren said:I've got just 1 wish: don't make it sexist. Please Devs.... I've enough of games blinking to only male customers.

Agree!AhmadMetallic said:Anyway, my only complaint about Witcher 2 was the fact that it didn't feel like it shared the same universe of Witcher 1. The atmosphere was brighter and more "realized," in a way that felt like a 19th century setting, in the sense that the characters just felt too educated, aware and intelligent. One of the amazing aspects of the first Witcher was the fact that it was MEDIEVAL! There was a historically accurate sense of ignorance, darkness and anarchy.
So the fact that you're going open world (which is closer to W1 than 2), and that your focus shifted from the vivid political shenanigans to a more mystical and medieval, personal story (I love the Wild Hunt), is more than enough for me.
Why, then, just stick to homosexuals? Why not go all the way and include every sort of fringe sexual inclination?amuleth said:Second that.
Also, I always wondered why Geralt does not attract attention of male characters? Even there is no single gay character in a whole world? If they portray such characters, it shouldn't be an annoying, insistent and only sex-demanding person cliché as in other games/publishings.

I beg to differ.judas82 said:mmmm i hope they donp´t create a pro nilfgaard path, because geralt has nothing to do, share, like from that country at all!!
Homosexuality is a sort of fringe sexual inclination? If sexual diversity is a fact of life, there is no excuse to be not there. I don't say they should just add gay characters to be politically correct. It is a fair and logical question that why this realistic world is totally heterosexual but that goes beyond that topic. When I ask that I don't imply that there must be a sexual freedom as in Dragon Age. There are tons of male NPC's and important characters who could be attracted by a powerful character as Geralt. Sexually or emotionally. That is not an aspect that downgrades the story. If Game of Thrones can do that (although there is no likeable gay character yet), The Witcher's "realistic" and mature fantasy world can do it too very well.AgentBlue said:Why, then, just stick to homosexuals? Know why?
Because a strident sexual orientation is in itself no assurance of an interesting character. And that's what they should be striving for, interesting complex characters. Any attempt to shove sexual minorities into the story just for the sake of it, seems to me, is just a petty concession to political correctness.
Judging by the healthy amount of swearing going on in these games, I don't think that's their top priority.
I don't really get for what purpose they should do that. Also i always had the impression that Dethmold was curious about me...amuleth said:Homosexuality is a sort of fringe sexual inclination? That's not really a fair accusation.ReptilePZ said:As long as they don't throw their sexuality in my face all the time (aka are well written) then I have nothing against homosexual characters.
Except they weren't written very well. Not Cortez which is essentially Carth 2.0 and not Traynor with her stupid shower scene.I will give credit to Bioware for including gay characters in ME3. It wasn't written or portrayed as in "hey look at us we are gay!" They were interesting characters, with cool backstories and a role in the story. Diversity of characters is a good thing.
