I know what you mean, but sometimes fights break out unexpectedly. I am the sort who doesn't like to reload and come back prepared- that's seem fake, and breaks the flow of gameplay for me.

Can you honestly say that every battle in TW2 was expected, and you had the time to prepare for it? Sometimes you have to think on your feet, and gameplay is a lot more interesting if it allows you to do that.

It is certainly more rewarding when you get out of a bad situation without having to reload.

Even in real life, people in combat carry items which can be applied or used in emergencies.

I completely agree with you and that is precisely why I'd prefer swordsmanship or magic skill tree over the alchemy in TW2.
in reality, coating a blade is kind of a battle preparation. but when you coat your blade with an oil, it will last for more than six month if the blade has not been used in slashing of course.

That is the realistic way to think of blade coating. I think for the games it works more like poison, i.e. pouring on some amount is effective for use.

I meant that certain parameters like the number of hits and type of the enemy should define how long the oil coating will last.

let say for example that you sharpen your sword with a whetstone and it'll remain sharp for 20 min, no matter you slash hundreds of time or you don't unsheathe your sword at all !!!
that's not logical

the effect should not fade out on its own. at least not on a small run.

Sounds like a good idea - have certain effects time out, others wear out as you use them.

Blade effects, more streamlined combat and inventory systems, expanded voice actor roster, more emotion for Geralt's voice, bug ironing, satisfying conclusion.

Oh yeah! That's the idea that I had and then forgotten, blade oils and buffs should be effective for a certain amount of hits, and potions should be effective for a certain period of time!

Thanks for reminding me :), that's an idea that I really hope to see in TW3, and I hope the devs consider this!

I also hope that they don't flood the screen with too many bars to keep track of that stuff, It would be great if you could only see that in some of the menus, or at least make the bars that indicate that stuff be as small as possible.

I know this is late and I'm not sure if someone has mentioned it already but grid inventory confirmed. This was on my wishlist.

Oh boy. I hope it's less messy than in TW1.

@ Black Leopard: completely agree.

I am glad for people who liked the grid inventory, but is there a different layout for those who preferred TW2 inventory style?

If not, can there be one. I'd rather read a list than look at a million different pictures to find what I need.

Also, I don't understand how pictures are more intuitive than words. When you have pictures you need to memorize what each picture means, but with words it just tells you what is what.

Grid inventories are such a chore.

One thing I've got clear...I don't wanna carry dozens of books and notes in my bag. I am able to transcript them to my own journal at a candle light.

OK, I mean I rather like when once a book or note is read the information automaticatlly is added to the journal. />
and name saved files, thank you

Seems everyone here love the grid inventory system. I can't say I like it nor do I hate it. here's hoping that CDProjektRED would find a new solution and inventory system above all conventional methods.

I always put things like that in storage. My storage chest belongs on that hoarders show.
And I think we're all hoping for named saves. ;)/>

I'd really love to visit city of the golden tower (capital of Nilfgaard) but I'm afraid that's not an option in TW3.

Man... what happens when I want to recall a determinated information about a monster which I'm fighting in the middle of the Forest? Might I spend some hours to reach my chest, search the book, read it, leave it, close the chest and return where I was />/> ? I rather pause the game, read my journal and continue the fight....:cool:/>/>

Better boss fights if its going to be some huge monster then it should move around, try harder to kill you, and be adaptive the huge octopus wasn't an epic boss fight just a large, repetitive, lumbering one.

Fast travel that doesn't require me to find a fire, a rail line, or other such place if I want to fast travel I'd liked to just pull up my map select the area I've been to and want to revisit and hit A to go there.

A horse that controls like red dead redemption you can fight on it its responsive ect. And an indestructible one nothing is worse then being over burdened with loot and my horse went and got itself killed. Also horse running off in battle while practical have it come back on its own after the battle is over I don't want to have to hunt it down!

Regis and Malvia in game recruitable and squadmate that will hunt the monster with you if you invite them. Also keeping the repore between these two characters and Geralt.

Fairs that vary in the ingame calendar. I liked how skyrim had an imaginary calendar yet I wish there were festivals and different things happening in towns. Bioshock infinite did a great job in a festival theme you got to play unique games and they were lively. However each town who hold a festival should have at least 2 things different in their games so its not repetitive and each town holds these different calendar days according to their own dates. So for instance not all cities have a harvest celebration on the same day only 2 or 3 towns will hold this event during a weeks time. Different decorations, different games, our npcs will react to it maybe even share memories if they have them. If the game let us continue to play after we beat it the calendar activities still hold so its not boring.

Weather I like weather changes so leaves change for fall, lots more rain in spring, snow in winter, ect

Clothing! In TW2 I was sooo pauper in that game until I found that enchanted armor then I ware that all game and I hate it! Sure people will say its not a fashion game but honestly I'd like to be able to buy things that coordinate, match, and look cool based on the money I save, craft the items, get on quest, and all three. One of the reasons I like fable is I can buy alot of clothing and change my appearance. Also when we're shopping for clothing either show Geralt demoing the look or go like Skyrim and show us a clear representation of what the clothing look like.

More variety in our squadmates lines when not on main quest it was really annoying in TW2 as I kept returning to my group they'd all talk about the same things aka stuck on repeat and it sucked. Talk to me with variety of topics like in DA and allow me to have a personal wheel choice conversation with them.

That's a really cool idea. I don't know how difficult this is to make, and it'd might be tricky avoiding walking/riding into a harvest festival every two week or so as a player. The festival atmosphere was cool in the Witcher 2, but its cause was not a pretty one and Geralt and I were too busy to attend, sadly. Mini games and wondrous sights abound.

Murky Waters comes to mind, and its famed prized cow, the stuff of legends.

Come children one and all to gaze upon utters most plump, and ample! Hear stories, sing and dance and forget all the troubles of the world.

It would also be great if during the horse riding, if the camera was really cinematic. Something similar to the Shadow of the Colossus if possible.

The new interview with Kotaku regarding potion drinking during combat has me worried. I hope Witcher 3 still retains the potion drinking meditation mode from the witcher 2.
