The witcher 4: Blood and Silver (fan made story mission)

+
Dear CD Projekt Red Community Team,
I hope this message finds you well!
I am a huge fan of The Witcher franchise, and I am incredibly excited for the future of the series. Ahead of the upcoming game, I felt inspired to write a short fan-fiction concept exploring a potential storyline down the road.
This is entirely a fun, creative exercise made purely for enjoyment and out of love for the world you have built. It explores a fictional "pass-of-the-torch" scenario from Ciri to a new generation, weaving in classic Witcher themes of tragedy, destiny, and legacy.
I wanted to share it with the team as a token of my appreciation for your amazing work. Thank you for your time, and I look forward to your next adventures!
Warm regards,
S.

TITLE: Blood and Silver

Act I: The Encounter and the Tragic Betrayal
The story begins with Ciri. One day, while out on a contract hunt, she unexpectedly crosses paths with Geralt’s long-lost blood brother. Later, during their shared mission, they discover that his wife carries a hidden, cursed acient monster bloodline, though she is not a Witcher herself.
While they are investigating the origins of the mother's bloodline, the father and their young son join Ciri on the journey. However, the group is ambushed by a pack of monsters belonging to the exact same ancient race as the mother's ancestors. The presence of these creatures triggers her cursed blood, causing her to lose complete control of her mind and body.
Ciri is forced to step in to protect the family. A brutal, exhausting battle ensues between Ciri and the transformed mother. Eventually, both are left completely drained of energy. Just as the young boy calls out to his mother and his husband steps forward, the sound of their voices breaks the curse, allowing her to regain control. Tragically, before they can celebrate, one of her own corrupted comrades steps out of the shadows, stabs her through the heart, and flees into the night.

Act II: The Safehouse and the Ambush
Grief-stricken and seeking vengeance, the father vows to help Ciri track down the killers. Needing to move fast, they leave the young boy in the safety of the nearest village.
Ciri and the father track the culprits through dangerous territory, fighting their way through waves of vicious monsters and corrupted humans. However, they soon realize they have been outmanoeuvred. The true mastermind behind the plot—the dark "Boss"—has bypassed them entirely, raided the defenseless village, and kidnapped the young boy.

Act III: The Passing of the Silver Sword
Ciri and the father relentlessly track the kidnappers to their main stronghold, which is heavily guarded by the strongest monsters they have ever faced. They launch a desperate rescue mission, but after a relentless battle, Ciri is left battered and completely exhausted on the ground.
Seizing his chance, the Boss lunges forward to execute the child. In a final act of love, the father throws his own body in front of the blade, taking the fatal blow to save his son.
With Ciri pinned down and the father on the verge of death, the young boy finds a sudden burst of courage. He snatches a fallen silver sword from the ground and stabs the Boss. This sudden distraction gives Ciri just enough time to summon the last of her energy; using her half-broken steel sword, she cleanly takes the Boss's head.

The Ending: A New Master and Apprentice
Ciri kneels beside the dying father. With his final breaths, he asks Ciri to protect his son, handing her a unique family necklace just before he dies in her arms. Following Witcher tradition, Ciri builds a funeral pyre to burn the remains of the boy's parents.
As she stares at the necklace in her hand, Ciri has a sudden flashback to her youth. She remembers asking Geralt if he ever missed his blood relatives. Geralt had told her that during his early years as a monster hunter, he had encountered a man just once who gave him that exact same necklace.
The young boy, now completely alone, turns to Ciri and asks what he is supposed to do and where he will go. Ciri looks at him and invokes the ancient laws of their order. She explains that according to the Witcher oath and rules, a monster hunter must always be paid for their services. Because the boy has lost everything and has no coin to offer, his payment will be his life and his future. Ciri takes him in to be trained at the fortress, officially becoming his new Witcher Master.
