CD Project Red, you're doing a great job here, but is it necessary to change Geralt's apperancу with every new game? He was quite good in the first Witcher game, he looked authentic and fitted the atmosphere of whole game. Then, in the second one you made him look like a guy from our time, who just works out all the time... The body of Geralt you made in Witcher III is somewhat unproportional, he's too fit, his shoulders are too wide, it's looks unnatural and unappealing. About his face...His cheeks, his whole head is just too square-like, every time I look at his face I get the feeling it shrinked. In the arts his jaw is narrowing and it is placed high, but in-game model shows the opposite. Also, he looks rather slim compared to the art and the shape of his lips is not right. TL; DR you're ruining the Geralt. You made him look a fancy jock, not a european person from somewhere about thirteenth century. The fact that he is the witcher can't justify that. This character have escalated from Geralt the Man to Geralt the Manwhore. Keep up the good work, CD Project Red.

Well, at least they didn't give him heels.

No, but ciriously....

The character designers have done a great job and they are listening to feedback.
Of course Geralt's face is slimmer: we've been requesting that for a while.
They have even fixed the waist issue and I do appreciate that.

That being said, I see nothing wrong with Geralt at the current state.
Well, apart from the fact that the ingame model doesn't look as good as the render, but that's pretty much a given.

Superb job CDPR! Your work never ceases to amaze me.:unworthy:

If there was any nit-pick that I could find, it would be Geralt's cheeks. IMHO, this is the #1 part of his face model that makes him appear 'chubbier' in the face than he has looked in past games. It is most noticeable when he is facing frontwards. Every other angle is ace and I think he looks great. Armor included. I see suggestions about his pigment not being pale enough - I'd love if Geralt's face changed as seen in the '52 and a Half' trailer and TW1 intro.

I wholeheartedly request/hope that Geralt's pigment change depending on what type or all kinds of potions when consumed. Only if it is manageable and doesn't take away time from the development team in other very important areas. I completely understand scheduling and the monumental task you have presently until release. I'll love the game and Geralt regardless whether it is or it isn't in. That is of course if it has not already been implemented into the game. *Wink Wink* My intention was not to complain or criticize , merely to suggest and hope, nothing more, nothing less.

Love you Devs! Absolutely dig the beautiful art that you are creating for us that is the Witcher 3: Wild Hunt. Thank You!

I grew pretty accustomed to it. I still like how he looked in the first one. Maybe it's just nostalgia..? I'm also a little weird, so it could be that, too. :hmm:

"Y'look foul, but healthy. Move along."
Seriously, they stuck closer to the concept of Geralt as "albino mutant" in the first game.

(Maybe more exactly "vitiliginous", as his loss of skin and hair pigments was acquired, not hereditary?)

He’s not albino, just has white hair due to the transformations. The books don’t make it look like he’s unhealthy-looking or anything like that afaict?

Because it isn't supposed to be grey. It's supposed to be white, as described in the books. It's not a game killer for me but I'd like it if they made it white.

EDIT
One thing that I would like to point out though is that in the cosplay guide his hair looked quite white and I'm perfectly fine with how it looks there. I'm hoping this is them iterating over Geralts looks and not the lighting.

His hair definitely looks white to me in these pictures, his beard could do with being at least a little bit lighter, and his eyebrows are practically black now, they should definitely be at least light grey like in TW2
