I honestly don't think I have ever read such an ignorant post. Will a Moderator please come and ban this person. As I stated, and I wish a dev would answer, is there any updates since the code was sent to the disk manufacture? If some one could please post what the exact version number is on the download that would be a good enough answer since if the version number is different it obviously would have some type of update and would probably be worthy of downloading and installing.Thank you.

RandyMyers, please, you want moderators to ban someone for answering your question? You are being just as rude as him.The 1.4 Patch is the Upgrade patch to the Enhanced Edition. That is all.

I was not being rude to him at all. In fact I was being very nice. I reacted to him calling me a liar (which I am not) and other such names. I was nice and respectful to him even though he honestly did not show a similar respect and conciderations in his replies.BTW- as you can see from the one responder, the version that is beign downloaded is a slightly higher buiuld number, therefore has some changes. I would appreciate if a dev could comment here about if these changes are worthy of the donwload. I suspect any change is there for a reason. After the servers calm a bit I will probably download the patch. It is in fact a newer build, which is the point I was attempting to make. What is different I can not tell you, however the above posted version number is indeed newer than the DVD version number.

Seeker,Do you know what the difference is in the version being downloaded and the one on the DVD (the reason for a newer build number)? Is it just the inclusion of the blood patch?Thank youps. if any devs are reading would you please respond to the request to make a patch to make the NA version not censored. Besides a lower package (i.e. no printed manual, etc.) having our version censored really does not leave a good feeling with your customers, most of whihc ahve bought your game twice now. If the difference is simply censored cards (as I have seen stated) then that would make an easy optional patch and something that would go a long way towards making customers that are now feeling quite slighted feel a whole lot better.

I don't think the company itself can make the uncensored patch. The media would have a field day about foreign companies sneaking porn into our children's bedrooms disguised as innocent games. It's sad, but true. Fox news would be all over it like a programmer on a pizza. Facts and truth don't hold much sway in a news story which can be used to tweak American parent's emotions during sweeps week. Look at the fuss they made out of Mass Effect which didn't even have any nudity at all. However, I think to their credit, the company turns a "blind eye" to anyone making an uncensored patch. I've sent off an e-mail to the kind gentleman who made the first uncensored patch asking if he was planning to make one for the EE. If so, we can't post the links in the forums, but the word will get around one way or another. If we can't then... well someone will pick up the slack and come up with something. To tell the truth, I have mine all installed and registered... but I'm not playing until I can get the uncensored patch.

perhaps it should be noted that the first download site (Voodoo Extreme) gives you a .rar file. the 2nd site (Fileshack) gives you a plain non-executable file. the 3rd site (WorthPlaying) gives you the .exe file. as a 2nd note, i had the original version of The Witcher. i downloaded the Enhanced Edition upgrade from the main Witcher home page. i downloaded the blood patch, and when i double clicked, i got a message saying the blood patch is already installed. so apparently only the people who bought the Enhanced Edition at the store need to download the patch. not the people who are upgrading from the website.

hello ppl,Maybe I am wrong here now but i have a little problem.Everything worked fine.Downloaded the Patch, opened it,it is checking if I have a registered version and when I click ok then it says......... language package is not the same like the one on the computer, plz install this package....... hmm I tried it now with every language and always the same damn windows error noise. When i remember good I have installed the german language.I am sure I played it in german. So where is the mistake?? I am a bit tired of it.After weeks of crashing frozen graphic sound horror a year ago now I am back to a not working Witcher version.I hope someone can tell me what I do wrong.PS: even after all this.I still think its the best game and now i want this better version.Greets and hope for help

I bought the Enhanced Version.. even though I have the original version. So do I need to download the blood patch? I'm assuming so.. I'd rather download it from the official site.. so is it still going to be posted for the people who bought enhanced edition?I don't mind waiting. I'd just like to know the situation.

OK, just for everyone who missed the answers previously, I'll try and sum up what some other people have mentioned:1. The only people who need the patch are the ones who purchased and installed the North American retail version of The Witcher Enhanced. a. If you purchased the original version and downloaded the 1.4 patch, you don't need the file. b. If you purchased the retail version of the European retail version of the Witcher Enhanced, you don't need the patch.2. If you are unsure if you need it or not, go ahead and get it. It isn't like the 1.4 patch which is very large. It is a tiny file, smaller then many images on the internet. You can grab it in just a second. Since it does a check before applying the patch, you can't hurt your game by trying.Lessjake:I'm not positive, but it almost seems as if you are talking about the 1.4 patch. I don't recall the Blood Patch verifying you were registered, but since I was logged on to the website at the time, I may have missed it. Also, it doesn't seem to check the language pack, it only checks if the missing file is there or not, and adds it if isn't there. If you are talking about the 1.4 patch, you may find more help on this thread: http://www.thewitcher.com/forum/index.php?topic=16804.0

How do I know if the version is NA, German, Polish, or etc? I live in the Philippines and we only rely on imported goods from US, at least for video games. If that’s the case, does it mean I’m going to have to download the Blood Revival patch also?I saw somebody from US complaining about the package being somewhat different from European versions, plus the censorship thing. My interest in the game diminished all of a sudden. I’ve been waiting for EE since April but now I’m a bit disappointed.I have a question for PR people in CDProjekt who might be reading this. I don’t know if this is also your job, but did you also consider our small and poor country to be one of the hundreds, perhaps thousands of destinations of The Witcher game?

Hi all, Newb witcher here, just got the Enhanced edition yesterday (pretty sure that was day of release) and wanted to suggest, if the site admin reads this, to add the blood patch to the Check for updates page. I only figured out there was such a patch when I was stumbling around looking for talent information. So far I'm very impressed with this game, only down side has been every time I try to "go" into the mill the game crashes. Guess no "fun" time for our hero.

I'm wondering when the Blood Revival patch will be on the official site. I don't want to download it elsewhere, I always feel kind of iffy about that.

I DESPERATELY want the EE NOW!! But I lent my discs to a "friend" who now claims to have "lost" them. Well, of COURSE I believe him...right? Anywho, EB Games won't have any copies for another MONTH here in Southern Canuckia! Why am I posting this? Because IF that soandso had returned my discs to me, I'd be up and running by now! WAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAH!~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~I'm trying to download EE now, but am having trouble with SIDE EFFECTS, as I can't track the progres since I don't read Polish!!
