Has the Czech version been improved though (traslation and voices)?Macek said:It will be in Czech Republic! I've just read it.
We changed especially English version (5000 re-recorded and rewritten English lines of dialogue) and German (about 22000 lines of dialogue completely redone ).I think that main advantage (talking about ‘translation and voices’) is that you will be able to chose language version – now the game is Multilingual and includes 10 language versions – 9 of them with voice. I can guarantee you that new Enhanced English version is worth to see.. and to hear!tdunaj said:Has the Czech version been improved though (traslation and voices)?tdunaj said:It will be in Czech Republic! The problem with what you are saying is that not everyone who steals a game would have bought the game in the first place. Software pirates do not necessarily translate into lost customers, because they may never have bought the game regardless of price. To whine and cry about it and divert resources away from creating PC games all based on an assumption like that is so greedy and juvenile.wharekura said:Where am I coming from regarding anti-FREELOADERS?- I'm a software developer and can appreciate the efforts of The Witcher team- I have been playing games since the Sega 2000- I spent almost $500 NZD on a 8800GT XFX so I can really enjoy my games - this doesnt include other bits to support it- Game prices are expensive enough in NZ without FREELOADER tax being added- I love PC gaming because of the additional controls and mouse use vs console gameArticles on the effects of FREELOADERS to the PC gaming world:http://www.tomsgames.com/us/2008/08/13/ubisoft_yvesguillemot/page2.html"TG: So does that mean Ubisoft will publish fewer PC games now and pull back from the platform?GUILLEMOT: Yes, we shifted focus. We greatly reduced the number of people working on PC games because of that. But what we are also doing is trying to find a way to protect the PC game when it's played, perhaps a link to a server that will check the game."(Thanks FREELOADERS for reducing the amount of possible games going to the PC)http://www.tomsgames.com/us/2008/02/28/interview_infinity_ward/Tom's Games: Do you see game piracy as the biggest threat to PC gaming?Robert Bowling: Yeah by far. It's a big issue for any product when you lose a majority of your player base to stolen copies whether it be games or from a retail standpoint. If there're more cracked copies than legitimate ones that's a huge problem.(Thanks FREELOADERS for kicking the bottom of the developers that made one of the best games ever, for all their hard work)http://www.tomsgames.com/us/2008/03/11/bioware_interview/page2.htmlTG: Do you worry about piracy for the PC platform? Is it a big concern for BioWare?Ray Muzyka: It's bigger now than it's ever been. So you have to consider not just ways to prevent piracy, because people can always work around that, but also ways to pull consumers in and make them want to buy the products with some type of value add to them.(Thanks FREELOADERS for possibly destroying one of my hobbies that I have worked hard to pay for - all because you think everyone owes you something instead of getting of your bottom and work for what you want)
Sorry, it will never happen again - I will go and trash my head on the wall and get 10 leashes on my back + 10 days with my knees on charcoal.STGhost said:There is already a thread for you to discuss this:http://www.thewitcher.com/forum/index.php?topic=15825.0Please refrain from making any more off topic posts in this section.
This will not be necessary. Just buy the Enhanced Edition when it comes out and all is forgiven. ^^Btw: My vacation starts Sept. 15th. The completion and release of the EE until this date would be very obliging ;Dmircislav said:...Sorry, it will never happen again - I will go and trash my head on the wall and get 10 leashes on my back + 10 days with my knees on charcoal.
Naughty boy ;DAs what ever his name said, I created a topic regarding copy protection and would welcome your venting theremircislav said:Sorry, it will never happen again - I will go and trash my head on the wall and get 10 leashes on my back + 10 days with my knees on charcoal.mircislav said:There is already a thread for you to discuss this:http://www.thewitcher.com/forum/index.php?topic=15825.0Please refrain from making any more off topic posts in this section.
That is how I understood it. One can choose from any spoken language and subtitles. That should mean that you can "turn" your english version into the french one.Shoestring said:Excuse me if I'm being a little obtuse, but would I be able to play the game completely in, say French both audio and subtitles even though I have the English edition? Would be a great way to practice different languages!
Exactly! I have two Copies of the game In Home – both – English and Polish cause I always wanted to see the ‘main’ version of the game. But I did that only because I’ve borrowed the English version from work – it’s completely undoable to buy English version I Poland. And now all of us will be able to have all versions in one box.TheSilver said:That is how I understood it.
