No I just wanted to through my money away on a game I did not wanna play... ::) And why would I post about the game itself if I did not play through it??? I played for about 4 hours, got to this first settelment (by that time I was 70% fed up by bugs, crashes, voice acting and crappy combat already), went to the bar start a fist fight, which controls and looks even worse than regular combat, then I won and saw this jumping-staring at the wall animation (85%) then I went outside and saw NPC that was just killed by the dogs and then a waitress I just saw in a bar (for some reason she had a different attitude this time (no wonder it was a different person))... I said WTF... and then I saw a fatman, and another fatman and some more fatman... And then I said fuck this game (100%)...

Do we really need all ten language versions in polish? :D Ho ho ho.

hahahaha...:D :D :D lol...I'd suggest leaving 1 of each language.. 1 english, 1 polish, 1 german, etc... May be better to reach more costumers... :D :DThanks again CDPR

I don't care about bugs I want at least, AT LEAST combat to be fixed and you can't do it... Rants???... is that how you call a persons opinion that goes beyond "OMG this game is AWESOME, FTW, BGE lololol" here???Listen, I bought the game because I wanted to play it... I looked at the videos and reviews and it all sounded very promising. I have no doubts that under the pile of technical nonsense there is a grate game... Which is sad that so many potentially grate games ruined because of early relise date...(Vampire: Bloodline anyone???) It became such a common thing, people accept it as normal and SO thankfull to developers for fixing that should not have been broken.

Trust me I do have more than enough hardware to play it. And I did not pay 50$ to become a salesperson for CDPprogect.

Makers of Daggerfall and Morrowind! Oblivion was crap, but at list it was playable quality product from the start, and even though it's very weak RPG wise, I did get my 50$ fun from it and then some. With The Witcher I payed 50 dollars for a box that lying on my shelf cause it's by all means unplayable, unless you are sadomasochist and like to seat staring at the loading screens for longer than playing the game, loose your nerves over the bugy combat, crappy animations, clones, terrible dialogs, crashes... As for the evidence about Fallout 3 it's pointing in a completely opposite dirrection of Oblivion. But one thing is true, Fallout 3 is gonna screw over every other game that will foolishly relise itself at the same time, regardless of what Fallout 3 is gonna be... So your EE is screwed.

Really man, this is all a matter of personal opinion. I bought Oblivion too, and played the first 5 minutes then had to put it aside, there was nothing in it to draw my attention. months and months later, as I saw there were many expansions packs, I downloaded all that was free and bought all that wasn't (Shinning Isles, Knights of the Nine, etc, etc... ) hoping it would add more to the game and make it more interesting.... still crap. Sure, bug-free, nice landscape.. but nothing to really draw my attention, just.. "bland".. a guy running free in the world. Nice, you can come and go anywhere in the world (yes, unlike Witcher).. but what the h**l is the story?? I get nothing from it... some portal opened somewhere? There are monsters comingo from it? Wait.. I have to go through that portal? Close it? The story is ridiculous.. It is a FPS game with medieval weapons. Now, the town, (dont know if there are more.. I´m talking about the first city you come into the game... ), the entire population is under 8 people, 6 of those being guards... the town is a collection of stores with 1 or 2 guys walking around and where a simple peasant woman would put up a hell of a fight if you attack her (yes, an unarmed peasant woman against an armed Nordsman). The game has absolutely no flavor at all.. there is no story, the character are.. nothing.. just figures moving, no one feels like a person.. it may be a nice game to pass time, go around exploring, fighting stuff (even peasants and crabs.. which any of both could kill you...).Witcher for me was completely different, yes, it's silly to see the same figures over and over, the fat guy, the old woman the common peasant woman and the red-haired woman.. you don't have half the "freedom" of Oblivion, you can't go around wherever you want, every act you are limited to a piece of scenario. BUT, things feel f***** more real, I have never seen more real people in any RPG, they have their lives, they walk to their jobs, the kids go play with each other, they look at you when you pass by them, they are distinct individuals with their personal characteristics. The story of the game is amazing, yes, little confusing but still amazing (give'em a break, it was translated from a different language, and it's nothing trivial given the complexity of the storyline) , it draws you into it, makes you think. Your character is an actual person, it has needs, problems of his own. The Witcher feels more real than any game I've played. Now, I had only 2 bugs for the entire game. One was a freeze but due to excessive overclocking the video card,. the other for some reason my most recent save wouldn't load, had to load from one before.. sure, it was a litte annoying, but nothing terrible (the fact that the game uses a new save slot everytime for the first time proved useful.. lol..). There is a lot of loading, yes, but for me none has taken over 30 seconds (and this being the first load, which is always the longest one), it's usually really fast, very frequent, but fast. The fighting mechaninc was much more interesting than Diablos's mouse destruction, Oblivion's never-got-it-right, and Neverwinter's just-control-the-wizard. Sure, there was a little bug concerning the mouse click responsiveness, sometimes you'd click to continue the combo and nothing happened, had to start over.. but oh well. Now, Oblivion it was a complete waste of money for me, I fell forced to play it jsut because of the money spent... but it's hard.. I can't play it for more than 30 seconds before it bores the hell outta me...Again.. just personal oppinion. This non-enhanced-4-char-models version of The Witcher is a gazillion times better than Oblivion and one of the best RPGs I ever played (still considering if it's better or not than Baldur's Gate...).If Bethesda had half of consideration for their costumers CDPR has , they'd make an entire whole new game and give it for free for whomever bought Oblivion. If Obsidian had 1% of that consideration, they'd release NWN2 Enhaced Version free of all the 300 more bugs and crapy playability it has over the Witcher and also give it for free (I love NWN2, don't get me wrong, but it's too poorly done, fells a lot more "hurrried in" than TW).

It sure is a matter of personal opinion. Like everything else in this world. Oblivion was bad RPG. It was not a bad game for what it was, but weak RPG. I think Bethesda was too fascinated by new technology & possibilities of physics, HDR and bloom that they thought it would be enough to keep people entertained for weeks... nevermind the story or characters. Their mistake, but predictable at that. Today you will not surprise anyone no matter how much bloob you'll dump into the game, plus I believe they learned from the backlash they received from fans... They did make Daggerfall and Morrowind after all.Like I said I don't care about the bugs, the only bug I had was some shadows going through the walls thing... and I dont care about this one. The rest of the bugs is actualy a part of the game design...With witcher my main concern is a combat... The way you can only click on the enemy if your camera in a certain position, looking down... often it does not work anyway... Don't get me started on a fist fight combat... the way animation cut's half way... and that stupid jumping he does when he wins... and all in all combat mechanics are just fucked up. If they released only small part of EE now, the part that would fix the combat I would start playing the game right now... But no I have to wait for Chinese language to be done...

I really don't understand your problem with combat.. except for sometimes not responding. But the angle? You have to be facing straight to the opponent so that the center of the camera is on it... unless you want to see Geralt from up front or other angle, in this case use some of the Isometric views, it's nice sometimes to see the whole picture, specially when fighting a bunch of enemies.. see him whacking everyone, even from his back.. .. but Oblivion you can't see your character either.. and even if you do with the camera in 3rd person, he still facing front and you have to aim.. So you are chinese? Really, you seem to understand English pretty well, and (apart from all cursing..), can write very nice too. Sure you can't play it in english?

No, no... I am not chinese... I was joking that I'll have to wait for all languages that I don't need to be done like Chinese or Indian or whatever.I am Russian so cursing is allowed for me :p I live in US though. And yes I have english version of the game.As for the combat it's just an opposite. I am forsed to look at the ground and click on enemies legs or something... let me start a game and see, it was 3 months since I played it.

If they are translating to these languages it's because there are people who play in them, and so they do need to be done. If you couldn't speak well english you'd be happy they translated to Russian too. Now, you've mentioned before you have a good pc, so uninstall the game, clean up the pc (registry cleaners and stuff), reinstall the game and the latest 1.3 patch; defragement the HD and give it another try. Maybe it'll help fix the crashes you've been having and lower the loading times a bit. Try to leave aside the fact they only have half a dozen character models and that Geralt's sword are floating on his back without a scabbard and I believe you'll have a great experience with it.

Yeah now I remember. Nevermind the camera...The problem is the general responsivnes and the aim. And that's the part of the design problem (that your attack stops when you click the wrong moment or wrong spot). Especially it becomes visible when you fight with several enemies at the time, their "aim fields" interfere with each other and while you trying to do combo on one, you actualy clicking on the other enemy field, so your attack stops, they hit you, you try again, you hit once, twice and then your cursor dissapears for no reason or just does not respond and then the same thing again... Now I will not say it's completely unplayable but it's rather annoying and frustrating at times... and I don't play games to get annoyed by them I play them to have some fun.Now why can't they relise small patch to fix combat and some other essential bugs before relising the whole EE? :wall:

I bought PC few mounths ago I don't think I need to defragement the HD yet. And I did not have that many in game crashes (1 or 2), but the game crashes every time upon exiting... which I realy don't care about. I wanna play the game, I am sure it's a grate game, and that's why I want to get the best expirience I possibly can from it (especialy after waiting 3 months already)... and that's why it pisses me off that they keep pushing EE away. Well anyway, thanks for listening and for your help Ledgabriel. Hope I'll come back here some time saying how grate the game it is. And we'll talk about more interesting and pleasant matters.Bye.

It would have been enough for you guys to already have made what is one of my favourite RPGs of all time, not to mention making a great game with the kind of dynamic one-person combat and tough moral decisions that blows away the attempts of developers who have twice the budget for their games that you did.Now you took the time to reward the community who took a chance on getting your game by refining it, something that must have been very time-consuming and expensive and doesn't guarantee a huge increase in sales.I already own it, but your dedication is worth extra money. I already own a copy, but I'll be re-purchasing the Enhanced Edition anyways.
