My system specs are:AMD Athlon 64 3200+ (2ghz)2gb Ram7900 gtx (512mb)CPU is the bottle-necker, for sure. Anything else to watch out for/avoid that the current patch may not fix?

you should be fine with these specs, you can get the game now and download the Enhanced part when it's out , or you can wait and get it all then, but if you get it now you can play it at least once until then, that's the beauty of the game anyway, since you can't see all the stuff, all the paths, all the dialog, all the consequences in only one run, playing it again when the EE is out with the new content will fell like playing a new game ;)

My sentiments exactly ... but i am a confessed addict ;) -- more than 20 runs through the game and i plan to play again when EE comes out (if not a few more times in between):)

Seriously! To postpone the release an unknown number of times (for quality or other reasons) is one thing. But to announce the announcement of the new release date for the next days and keep silent for over a month is... not very nice^^.I know that it wouldnt change much to write something like "Sorry, but we still need a few weeks to sort things out" butat least it would mean something to many of us, or for me at least.Apart from this i think "The Witcher" is a great game, with or without EE. But i still wait for EE before i start a secondrun because i need those additional faces ^^.

Well has been 2 months since the last information about the Enhanced (English) Edition. Perhaps a few days on the Polish calendar is longer than everywhere else (just joking). It would be appreciated by a large number of purchasers of this game, myself included, to have an update. If there is no longer going to be an EE and things have moved in another direction please let those waiting know out of godd business curtesy. It is quite poor to give 'a few days' then nothing and keep people hanging on.I myself run the game on Vista all patched etc and do experience some issues that marr the potential full enjoyment of the game.In short an update for the update please.RegardsGKW

its as if you are talking to a wall really :wall:. I mean yes it is a good game but promising more goodies and not delivering is just bad practise but forgivable. however not keeping your customers informed is just plain rude and more something I expect with large ISP and telco's So developers and PR people, pull yer finger out and finally tell us what the heck is happening!

It's not a wall guys, I mean ... what can they say, really ? It's obviously taking way longer than they hoped or wanted, but they have a mission to create something that is as perfect as they can make it. Sure, it's ambitious, and quite probably impossible strictly speaking, but I'm really glad they are trying so hard to make the game as perfect as possibleThe game is perfectly playable as it is, i've played it many, many times. It's well more than just playable, it's great (IMHO as usual) .. so why waste all this energy bemoaning the fact that there are no "official" announcements which would only tell you exactly the same thing.or would you prefer another artificial deadline that might come and go in the same manner as the first announcement (which, OK, was a tad premature in retrospect, but everyone makes mistakes) ?patience ...

Maybe so, but an official announcement, even if it tells exactly the same thing, is the best way to inform your customers/fans that the EE hasn't gone the way of "Duke Nukem Forever." Although there are rumors that DNF isn't vaporware anymore....... But still, an update along the lines of we're still working on it should be good for another two weeks before people start asking/demanding more updates again.

- We are sorry. Its quite chaotic at the moment. We cant provide a timeline yet. Stay tuned.- We had other things to do. We´re still targeting a release in 2008 (maybe)- This is hard work. So quit bitching.- Please be patient. In a few more weeks we will try to provide a new timeline.A small selection. Preferable over a "artificial" timeline or plainly no respone at all? Sure it is.
