The Witcher: Enhanced Edition Ships to Stores
CD Projekt RED is thrilled to announce that The Witcher: Enhanced Edition has shipped to stores around the world, with the exception of Germany (25th of September) and Australia where the release is scheduled for September 26th. After being locked up for months of back-breaking labor, the development team has finally been set free to see family and friends, content with the realization that they have successfully created the ultimate PC role-playing game.
The Witcher: Enhanced Edition takes the gameplay that made the original the 2007 PC RPG of the Year to new heights with a wide range of technical updates and gameplay improvements. Some of the most noticeable changes include greatly reduced loading times, re-done English script (5000 lines modified) and completely new German voiceovers, improved game stability, greater NPC variety, an easier-to-use inventory with a separate alchemy sack and more than 200 new gesture animations that make dialogue scenes much more natural and dynamic.Adding to the great value is the premium packaging, offering features usually only found in an expensive Collector’s Edition for the price of a regular game, including:• Multilanguage The Witcher: Enhanced Edition, a reworking of the best PC RPG game of 2007;• DVD bonus disc including the D’jinni Adventure Editor and two brand new adventures created by CD Projekt RED:- the D’jinni Adventure Editor: allows players to create or modify their own adventures in the world of The Witcher;- "The Price of Neutrality": the adventure tells the story of Geralt coming back to Kaer Morhen and finding a mysterious camp near the stronghold (featuring 3 new quests);- “Side Effects”: the first ever release of this new adventure which focuses on Geralt's close friend, Dandelion, and his troubles in Vizima City (featuring 5 new quests);• Remastered “Making Of” DVD Video with never-before-seen bonus material (total 180 minutes);• Soundtrack CD - music from the game The Witcher; (29 tracks, total 73 minutes)• CD of original music inspired by The Witcher (15 tracks, total 59 minutes);• Instruction manual (80 pages) and official game guide (112 pages);• Short story by Andrzej Sapkowski featuring new monster artwork (around 50 pages);• A map for exploration throughout The Witcher ’s world (A3 doublesided).Further demonstrating the company’s devotion to its fan community, CD Projekt RED is providing all of the improvements and bonus content as a free update to existing owners of the original game.
