I know and i don't want to exaggerate it now, but it kinda looks strange. Compare it to Geralt, who wears a chain mail, and it is kinda...strange.
Maybe it's just my fatherly nature to protect my daughter
Edit: If you compare with Triss or Yennefer, she just looks like them, so that's okay, but, the big but is she isn't actually a sorceress. She doesn't use ranged weapons like a bow or fireballs. She goes in close-combat with a sword and yet she isn't really wearing something that could protect her from ANY hits.

Geralt wearing anything other than leather jackets is still strange, but the books are the books, the games are the games, and fanart is fanart, I don't personally mind it at all that much.

This is just fanart, CDPR only commissioned this artist to make the Geralt and Yennefer piece. I wouldn't expect him to think up some new armor for Ciri when he's trying to depict her as she appears in 3. And is she fighting it? It looks like she's riding it to me, and the title "Through the Marshes" kind of implies that as well.
You can see in the higher resolution version here that she's still wearing her bra underneath the blouse. Also, artistic liberties.

On my personal tastes, this is absolutely a beautiful depiction of our ashen haired lass. The scenery is very somber, her position on the snake is rightly how Ciri always rode Kelpie, and just the radiance of the image is very tasteful. My only meh is the bewbs being too large. She has small breasts if I remember correctly. At least that is what Godhart (Leo Bonhart) said about her.

Artists made up countless characters and armors before there was any official artwork, so i don't see a problem by giving her proper armor in a real fight and why should she ride a giant serpent anyway? And if it really tamed, why is she still holding a torch and a sword in her hands?
If she tamed the serpent, she wouldn't need to protect herself from it anymore. A torch that close would rather irritate/agitate it instead of calming it down.

Yeah, something like this. You will still get hurt by hits, but it gives atleast a little bit protection, especially for a melee fighter.
Disturbing.... In my fantasies I have bigger tits and...less muscles....
and in mine I have even smaller and less muscles as well...
