The Witcher: Farewell of The White Wolf

I apologize in advance, perhaps someone has already asked a similar question before. What languages will the story-mod support on release?

Polish, English, Czech, Brazilian Portuguese, Russian, French and Italian :p There is very very small possibility that some of them will catch delay, but it would be like a week, two weeks top, so not a long time, nevertheless we want to have all of them on premiere and doing everything we can to manage that ;)

Wow! I see that you have approached this issue thoroughly. You haven't forgotten anybody) It's very pleasing. I am sure that the work you have done will be appreciated not only in The Witcher modding-community, but also in the modding-community as a whole :). And thank you for the fact that there are still such enthusiasts, projects of this kind are not only happiness, but also inspiration for something of their own.

Okay, no problem, so we're delaying! :D

Knife and medallion are from TW1, from assets used when you play poker (medallion is also in the corner of the HUD and in sex scene with Adda).

We wrote that script with thinking about TW3, so yeah, horses horses here and there :D

And it is really marvellous how many things you can pull out of that trailer... Things that majority are taking from granted, but you see the amount of work they took :D
Thanks about the delay. Would have messed so hard with my free time :D and it never had the thought that I for myself could delay it. Especially what does delay even mean?! Sorry for everybody who wanted to play it before, the community has spoken against it. :D

Thanks for the nice words. It is mainly becasue I also tried modding and messed with so manny files. Often I even can't play the Witcher 3 anymore and detect/ or know which kind of (reccuring) mesh is used here and there. It's the same for Witcher 2 looked to often into stuff in REDkit to not remember/detect it. Last but not lest even, if my understanding of modding is not that great than yours I really can understand the hardships someone can face using the provided tools and the ammount of work you had to do overcome problems.

How long did you work on optimizing and how manny allready built or designed things ( graphics) had to be thrown out? Or did you work with a certain ammount of fps/ meshes/ textures on screen form the begining ( using the inbuilt Redkit tools)? And besides graphics how much time had did you have to spend on optimizing the rest ( quests, dialog, detecting bugs/problems)?

Greetings and thanks to all of you and people who helped you with this.

Greetings!

Here's the comparison video of gameplay parts you've already seen in 2018 with up-to-date version of FotWW.

Thank you kindly for such a great reaction for the trailer! Comments made us really moved, such a pleasure making this adventure for you!

Hope you all will enjoy the mod.
Cheers!

Seeing more, you say? ;)

@PATROL The druid looks almost as in the Witcher 3. I think it is about the hair. The hair shaders you created and the hair meshes you've built how much time did you have to invest in those? and How manny versions did you make untill your team was pleased with it? Nice to see the that you also imported the interior of the poor_big_inn_jetty ( or the other version of the big_inn). It is only five days from now. Will it be released at a certain time ? I guess it will in gmt+1 or gmt +2 Timezone on the 26.10 and not the gmt -12 :D.

About the release time, I don't know which hour specifically yet :D About the hair... oh my oh my... :D Last change was in September, and was being done at the time that trailer came out, so there are new hair of Geralt and Ciri, but not other characters. Now we have all of them :D And the change was about vertex color, we took the ones we can from TW3 and the new characters we painted manually :p And alongside vertex color we upgraded speculars and cubemaps also, because why not, the material file is open, let's see what we can do here, hehe... :D Numbers of iterations? Let's see... First one, just texture with poor speculars, second with our strand mixers, not a good one, the hair looked very "dry", third we tried opacity to small strands of the hair, but since the transparent material doesn't catch light, we had situation of two-coloured hair, one which changed brightness with light, and one which didn't. And, heh, we had those for quiet some time. Then tried to recreate, as far as possible, hair from TW3 and it gave a nice effect, first iteration with cubemaps and proper specularity. So... now is the fifth, I guess :D

As I thought it was a longer process of iterations :D Really nice to hear about that and the pain and joy you had with those specific problems :D The changing Hair sounds nice! Sometimes I would like to have sth like that :D

Manual installation worked fine.

Initial reactions: Incredible attention to detail! It's jolly fun wandering about Kaer Morhen, just looking at how you managed to replicate the location. (The snowman is a nice touch.)

I've only played as far as the bit with Ciri, but the visual details, character models, and even the journal entries are quite remarkable. There are moments when I almost forget I'm playing a modification. Well done!

The dialogue is interesting, though I see a few places where it could have been polished a bit more. Nonetheless, you've done some fine work expressing the various characters' 'voices' in the lines. (What a pity all must be silent, though!)

More to come, as I explore further.

Played it for an hour - hour and a half, I think I've visited three separate zones and I'm amazed with the visuals at every turn. Simply unreal how the game as old as TW2 can be made to look.
English localization is less than perfect, though, but not to the point where I had any trouble following the conversation. And I feel like it actually gets better over time, could be the result of another person doing the translation.
And, of course I'm gonna mention it: Big thanks for including the Kaedweni god of drinking in your mod! I did not expect that.

Absolutlely wonderful, guys i love you so much for this  😭( and like Henry Cavill said thank you for ended the Triss "blasphemy" 🤗)

Do I have to play through witcher 2 to play this mod? I dislike the combat, and the story -hate triss- so the only reason I would get the game is for this mod, but if I have to play it until the end then nope.
