The Witcher forums and You
Hey guys, I may seem like a new user but I've been here a while (lurking etc.), and this is my favorite forum for a lot of reasons, the main one being that the people here have insightful, passionate, and awesome discussions.
I love the influx of new users following TW3 hype; new people help keep a community vibrant and varied, so it's always nice to see new people :]
But I thought I'd write a little guide to the forum, and I hope it's useful.
Before making a new post:
-do a google search for your topic's keywords, "keywords + witcher forum". This will end up showing threads with similar keywords here on the forums.
-make a topic about something thoughtful, include ideas which will stimulate discussion; low-effort posts are boring, and make the flow of conversation stagnant.
Using the forum:
-don't forget to look at the stickies in the various subforums; there are some useful ones like the Community translations of Sapkowski's work in Community.
-explore the other subforums, like Fan Art(!), and don't forget to contribute :]
-if a mod tells you not to do something, don't argue on the forum. Take the conversation to PM, or if you feel they're being unfair, message user Keth.
-keep it awesome and keep it cool, and welcome to the Pub ;]
